Grand Rapids Home Inspection Recommendation I am looking for a good, reliable, possibly on the cheap end, home inspector to inspect a house I am looking at purchasing....

Try steve yared. He inspected two houses we were going to buy. (One fell through, the other is our current home) www.thehomeexaminer.com Do a bit of research on the area too, to see if you're in a high risk area for radon. Grandville is, and when we had the test done, it was 11.4 pCi/L in the basement, where 2 of their children were. Acceptable levels are 4 pCi/L or less. Our current home in cutlerville tested negative.

I was not pleased with HouseMaster.

Thom Bowyer was great, although I didn't comparison shop so I can't say how inexpensive he is though. http://npiweb.com/sograndrapids/Home/tabid/1795/Default.aspx

Steve Brink. That is all.

I've used J.W. Home inspections for the last two homes I've purchased. He does a great job and gives you a comprehensive report. You obviously have plenty of recommendations in this thread so go ahead and add this to the pile! http://www.jwhomeinspection.com/

I used Dave Czarnecki from [InsepcteX](http://www.inspectexgr.com/). My girlfriends friend recommened them and they were awesome.

I know you've already picked one, but if anyone else is still searching I used Searchlight with Jim Comrie for mine and could not have been more happy. $365 total and that included Radon testing as well as a premium for being outside the city. I based it on online reviews and his were really high. http://www.slinspection.com/
Does anyone know a good home inspector in the Grand Rapids, MI area? Thank you in advance for any suggestions! :)

http://alertinspections.com/ This guy did the inspection for my house last year. He did a great job and gave me a lot of great advice about things to repair/change/etc.

Yes, Kurt Dorer of Dorer Home Inspections. He's my Supervisor's brother and has inspected homes for both me and my sister. He's based out of Rockford but I believe he travels too. Great guy, very smart and helpful.
Facebook friends anyone of you know of a good home inspector? We signed on a home today and need to do inspections. Any suggestions? So excited!

Congrats! Stephen Brink of West Michigan Home Inspectors was who my realtor hooked me up with. He did a good job and gave me a nice 3 ring binder with the full inspection report when he was finished.
Hi all, I'm looking for a recommendation for the best home inspector in the area, who would you want inspecting a westside home if you were buying? Thanks!
