Also- Dr Thomas Bilisko is a fantastic adult doctor. He works above and beyond to diagnosis, will do whatever testing you want him to order, and will refer. I know many doctors who you have to argue with to get what you need. He is not one of them. He will call himself other doctors and you and research until he gets answers. I highly recommend
Maija H. replied:
I second Dr John Koetsier at Western michigan Peds.. However I have to say I don't care for his colleague Dr Vanzee (sp?) as she blew off my daughter's infantile spasms seizures and wouldn't admit her into the hospital EVEN when an expert seizure neurologist at children's hospital in Detroit watched a video of her and was very concerned. I'm still peeved about it!

We went from Alger to Metro southwest office. We use Dr. Coleman. We lover her. She answers my many questions and doesn't make me feel stupid for asking. She doesn't give me a hard time for not giving my kids the flu shot. I have also seen one of their RN'S, also great and one of the male Peds. Duthler (I believe). He stitched my son's finger when he cut it. He was great with my son as well. smile emoticon They are in Wyoming on 44 th and Byron Center Ave. smile emoticon

I've heard amazing things about Alger Peds, but I don't believe they are taking new patients unless it's a newborn. I've also hear phenomenal things about Dr App but have hear a few negatives about the office staff (easy thing to get per if the dr is amazing though). We use Dr. Stutzman and have been very happy with her.

PS Dr App is board certified for Peds and internal medicine (adult drs)...so basically a family dr on steroids! There are only something like 400 drs in the country that have both of those certs! Pretty cool that we can all go to the same dr who specializes in all ages...at least in my book ;)
