Dr George was very rough with my older dogs sore hips and misread results of blood tests, then overdosed my dogs prescription. Don't go to him unless you are very good at interpreting blood test results yourself

I like the Grande Prairie animal hospital. As Bear Creek animal clinic is useless and take your money for tests they don't perform and can't back crisp up when your dog dues of something they say he never had. GP Animal Hospital(780) 532-4638. HAs ways bean fast to answer calls after hours as well as just to talk on the phone for questions. My puppy's love Dr Cook

Here is the latest: Alberta Spay and Neuter Task Force are taking donations, they are a group on the ground that are sending in qualified rescue units but otherwise as of now they are not opening up the city to the public yet. Edmonton Humane Society & AARCS Edmonton are taking donations, Fort Murray SPCA is still accepting donations even though the actual residence got totally destroyed. Lac Labiche SPCA is also taking donations, all of places can accept donations online. The Edmonton SPCA and LacLabiche SPCA as well as others are housing misplaced animals as we speak. Red Cross needs and is accepting donations, You can make in person donations or buy donations at Bone and Biscuit. Thank you everyone for your sincere help and loving and praying for animals during this time

Jillian C. replied:
Dr George has been our vet for over 18 years. Nothing but good things to say about him! He has been wonderful to work with my dog who was diagnosed with diabetes. He also shaves my 21 year old cat so well that my cat loves it and just lays there for him. and he saved our two dogs when they got posiened. honestly the best vet to me.
Cindy S. replied:
I don't care for Dr G as he miss diagnosed our pup and we lost her, but Lisa@Bear Creek Animal Hospital is wonderful, she looked after my sweet Razor for more than 8 years and she always cared.
Nancy S. replied:
Well me almost lost our dog at Dr. Wills and he would not even lets use take him in to the vet. My dogs have all the shots and he told me he had distemper. Bull we took him to another vet and he had to be kept in on IV fluid and he had a problem with his bowels. I will never go back to that vet.
Megan B. replied:
We have always had good experiences with Dr Haas at Bear Creek. My dog loves her and she has always been really good about explaining things to us about what needs to be done. We have never had extras services or tests pushed on us unless she really feels they are necessary.
Amber B. replied:
I've hear such amazing things about Morningview. I'm switching to them next time my pup goes in. I had to phone the emergency line and I was grateful for the help I got. I love animals first as well. I just sometimes feel like they charge for things Th at don't need to be charged. But they've always taken amazing care of my dog..my parents take their dog and cat to Dr.George and they absolutely love him. Their animals are more excited to see him then us sometimes..I agree though with the others go around and meet them, and get a feel for them. It'll help a lot!
Bekki J. replied:
Bear creek is my second option from Dr. Barth
Shelby R. replied:
Have had nothing but problems from Bear Creek with the rescue animals. Will always take my animals to Grande Prairie Animal Hospital. They have always been phenomenal with us and our pets. Many good vets to choose from and they staff their own emergency on call so you are always dealing with someone that knows your animals.
Bonnie R. replied:
The only other place other than Dr Barth we will take our Kuro is bear creek. We tried other vets over the years, dr George and morning view are places I will never recommend to anyone also places I will never go to again.

I was told to stay away from Dr. George hospital, there were to many propblems with dogs getting infections and some even dying.
Bridget B. replied:
Dr. George! He is a great!!
Jessica T. replied:
Do not go to Dr George at Animal Medical I have had nothing but bad experience. They didn't know how to realign and chihuahuas toes and cast it and they sent us to the most expensive vet in Edmonton and that was a crock of bull and I met a lady who used to work their and she told me family some of the cruel and sick things he does to the animals.
Hi everyone I'm new to Grande Prairie and looking for suggestions for a few things:

We were with Dr Barth, he's great. We've switched to the vet in Sexsmith because we've moved and it's much closer, also a great vet. The first one went to was the animal hospital down town. They wanted me to pay for cardiac ultrasounds for my very senior cats and a bunch of medication.
Aysha-Rae B. replied:
Animals First. Hands down. All the ladies there are amazing!
Melissa M. replied:
We have used Morningview and like them, but we usually go to Bear Creek and we also really like the vets there. They're awesome with our animals:) morningview is a cheaper though!

Sandy H. replied:
Bear Creek/ Country Club Animal Clinic ph# 538-9929. Morningview all 3 are great and are about the pet more than $$$. If I have a prescription that is also given to humans ( need to ask) ; my vets will fax order to my pharmacy and depending on the medication it can be 1/2 to a 1/3 cheaper.
Recommendations for best vet to do dental work on a senior dog I adopted. Any suggestions? Thanks

I have taken two of my dogs to https://www.facebook.com/421187442597Bear Creek Animal Clinic for cleanings and one tooth to be pulled. They were fantastic and took great care of my dogs. You will be looking at around $600+ depending on how many teeth need to be pulled and how much tarter build up there is. Highly recommended. The staff go above and beyond to ensure your pets feel safe and loved.
Maggie L. replied:
I use Bear Creek Animal Clinic. They have been fantastic. Even on weekends couple of times they helped my baby. Reasonable prices too.
Dawna D. replied:
Dr Barth at Animals First is wonderful, he’s the only vet I’ll go to. He did my moms 11 year dachshund last year, she had almost 20 teeth removed and she can still eat her kibble, this year he did my 10 year old basset, removed 5 teeth and one was an abscess, both recovered nicely and are spunkier than ever.
