Rebecca at Partners Natural is really good & so is Tammy@Purple Dog. Put her in manners training for both of you so you'll both learn the training but so that you'll also both enjoy each other & don't put it off the sooner the better.

Kim Verge is doing lot of this type of work. There are no behaviourists in western Canada. I am also working with aggressive dogs but right now I am maxed out for behaviour clients and not taking dogs with any history of damage to other dogs or people.
Anyone know of a good dog trainer? Having a really hard time teaching our 3month old puppy not to bite :-(

Grande Prairie Dog Squad. Ashley is awesome! I have been in training with our guy for several months. All her classes are outside - with other dogs. https://www.facebook.com/gpdogsquad

I would love to find a trainer that is knows the Great Pyr and the Akita breeds very well - as thats what i have and dont follow direction like most dogs, closest i found was Partners Naturally just wish there was something better for my stubborn boys.
Bonnie R. replied:
What breed do you have? Partners Natrualy worked for us for the "puppy" things. The best thing we found was be consistant with the "punishment" and the pups catch on quickly. Have you tried every time your pup nips to say "NO" and give him something of his to chew on and play with?

Tammy Brooks at the SPCA best in the business

Partners Naturally for sure
Bonnie R. replied:
Rebeca with Partners Natural has been great with all 3 of my dogs. Most pupies view thier owners as toys when they are young, usually turning away and saying "no" and ignoring them for a little bit will do the trick. She will also come to your house even go on walks with you.
Kim S. replied:
Partners Naturally. They came to our home about 2 weeks ago and there has already been a massive difference in our dog.
