Does anyone know of a moving company that would be willing to move me and my family out of town for a reasonable price?
Diane P. replied:
:/ Well - I think the movers that moved me from Northern GSO area were MBM Moving? Pretty Sure. They moved most of a 2500 sq ft home for less than $1000, provided wardrobe boxes, wrapped everything well and we didn't have any breakage or anything. (We DID move some thing ourselves though so it wasn't each and every thing in the house...but I was happy with them)

Just checked my files - yup - MBM MBM Moving Systems 718 Creek Ridge Rd Greensboro,NC 27406 Toll Free: 888-877-0158 Everyone is different about what they can afford or want - but here's the info anyway. Hope it helps
Movers and Internet Service Recommendations Hi Folks,

Not sure about movers, but TWC controls most of the cable internet services in Greensboro. Though you can get AT&T U-Verse and Verizon FiOS in some places as well. Apparently TWC is in the process of increasing speeds and lowering rates across the city but YMMV. Also, TWC (Time Warner Cable) was recently acquired by Charter Communications so that may affect things in the near future.

Highly recommend seeing if Northstate is available in your area. Northstate.net

In terms of movers, I had a great experience with Two Men and a Truck. Their rates are high (fortunately, my company paid for it), but they were very professional, nothing was damaged, and they were speedy.

I recommend Marathon Movers. Affordable, punctual, will actually call you and communicate. Get their truck, it's worth it - it's wider and taller than an equivalent U-Haul.

Depending on the weekend/day I'd be willing to help.

Ok, we've got a moving crew lined up...Armor Bearer Movers. Looks like folks in your neck of the woods don't use Yelp that much, but they seem to have the best ratings that I could find. And looks like we'll be going with AT&T for internet and for our cell phone service. Maybe once fiber is available on our street, we'll make the switch. Thanks everyone!
Okay, we need movers. Can anyone in GSO recommend a person or company who is both reasonable (price) and awesome (nice to us and not prone to breaking stuff)?

I have 2 mechanics I trust - Vinny Gomez at Vinny's Auto in High point, nc (went to church with his family for years - they are dear friends, and he will not rip you off!!). Champion Automotive on high point road is also trustworthy.

Can't recommend any local movers or mechanics up this way. My mom called Salvation Army and they took most of what she had left from her garage sale. Hope all goes well with the move
