Scott, it may be a swim bladder disease which will likely be fatal to them. You can use needles on larger fish but not one that small. He could also be impacted as well, which comes from too much protein in freshwater fish. I work at Sweet Pets (moon lighting) so if you need to replace him, let me know that too.

I had a bad experience at the one on 14 th. It used to be called Greenville Veterinary Hospital I think but the name might've changed. We got Charles neutered there and they advertised it as one price but then that was deceptive in that it did not include anesthesia didn't include any medicine/follow up and we ended up taking Charles to Banfield (in PetsMart) the next day to get drugs to feel better. Drugs that they would've given him in the first place. Ask Traci Davis. I think she had a bad experience there with a cat. But we loved Banfield. And we got him groomed there so if you timed it just right you could get it all done in one day. Also ask Ingrid Meyer because she has worked at PetsMart for years and knows the whole staff really well.
