Tax Preparation Accountant Recommendations? Hey, y'all.
I don't have a complicated tax life, but I'd like to get out of the habit of tossing my money at TurboTax/H&R...

If you are comfortable reviewing instruction forms and don't have a complicated circumstance I recommend giving it a go yourself. All the forms have detailed instructions and the site www.freefileableforms.com is what i have found to be to be best interface.

There's a guy at BJ's music on Augusta that does tax prep. I used to use him all the time. I think he his name is Randy. Good dude. Reasonable fees and all that. I think he does it on the side and gets business by word of mouth.

Anyone claiming dependants and/or Earned Income Tax Credits, be aware that refunds will be delayed this year. The IRS is cracking down on fraud. So even if you filed on the first day (Monday) it may be towards the end of February before you get your refund. I mention this here for one reason, tax companies and credit places are really pushing the cash advances this year. Don't get caught in the traps. Be patient. Wait a few weeks and get your full refund.

[United Way](http://static.ow.ly/docs/2017%20VITA%20Free%20Tax%20Flyer%20ENGLISH%201_5MQt.pdf) will do your taxes for free if you make under a certain amount. I've went through them for the past two years with no issues.
