Kirsten C. replied:
Animal hospital does not- but I believe tlc might. If not, I know Dr. G at Banfield pet hospital in Plainfield will do these things for birds!
Liz T. replied:
Dr Katy Portwood Danville Veterinary Clinic. I worked with her. She has lots of experience with birds & exotics. She also does farm animals. Shes all around awesome.
Becki S. replied:
Try St Francis Pet Hospital at Martinsville (Centerton) and Mooresville. They used to have an "exotic" vet. That's what they do
Julie B. replied:
Becki is correct. St Francis pet Hospital Centerton. 831-8231 Mooresville location possibly, not sure..... 831-3271

I have owned dogs my whole life, I had to put one down a year ago after 15 years, and adopted a young dog 6 months ago, and I have no idea what this sentence means. > I'm looking for a low intervention vet but one that will provide quality care with a focus on prevention.

My pets to go Aurora. We've been very happy with them, and they're not keen to push anything that isn't necessary.

We use [Maple Leaf Veterinary](https://www.yelp.com/biz/maple-leaf-veterinary-care-center-seattle) and like them a lot. One of our dogs had a ruptured anal gland, twice, had to have a drain put in, and removed, and another checkup, and it was $450 which I thought was reasonable for 3 visits and surgery. The dog also has to be sedated to have anything done because she's so insane, will draw blood biting and screams bloody murder even if you're 4 feet away holding a brush/tool, not even touching her. Sedation is $70. We tried other stuff before, like trazadone, but it had no effect.

I use Urban Animal and love them! They're very reasonably priced but also like the friendliest, nicest people. Our cat just had surgery there and everything went so smoothly, I felt like they took great care of him.
publicclassobject replied:
Urban Animal is the best vet in the world

I've been super happy with Phinney Ridge Animal Hospital which (despite the name) is in Greenwood at Greenwood and 82 nd.
LakerLand420 replied:
Rainer vet is the best and they are super cheap. I️ drive by it for years and never went the with other pets. But my moms dog had surgery there once and then had the dog stay there for like a week and it was super cheap so I’ve been taking all my dogs there since.
harlune replied:
Thank you all for your responses. You added a bunch for me to consider. It's good to know there are so many good vets.
ghengis_bob replied:
Educate yourself and ask your vet some questions about anything you're unsure of. Any time I have an issue with my dog I educate myself first before I go to the vet, even good vets make mistakes and I've caught more than one oversight on my vets part. Maybe don't get a dog, it doesn't sound like you're ready.

We've been taking our cats to Urban Animal for the last year. They've been good, the weekend appointments are so convenient, and pricing is much better than the one we left (Broadway Vet Hospital, back before it was 24/7)
Lollc replied:
I’ve taken my dogs to Ballard Animal Hospital since the 90’s. I love them. They don’t provide after hours care, they will refer you to an emergency clinic.
Georgetowner replied:
Urban Animal is absolutely the best. They are open later, take walk ins with no problem, don't advise extreme or unnecessary treatments and are some of the nicest people I've ever encountered in a veterinary setting. Blue Pearl is great for emergency or critical care.
Keenalie replied:
I bring my cat to Maple Leaf Veterinary Care Center and they are utterly fantastic.
Saritachiquita replied:
Since you listed Rainier Vet Clinic, check out [Atlantic Veterinary Hospital](http://www.atlanticvetseattle.com/). They are only a few minutes down the road from Rainier. After taking my cats there, I will never go to another vet. Amazing, knowledgeable and friendly staff. When my cat had to undergo surgery, the vet gave me her personal cell phone number (to call her with questions and concerns) because I was so worried about my kitty. I can probably write an essay with all of the things that they excel at....Just remember that you get what you pay for.

The Greenwood Animal Hospital on Aurora and 101 st - by the IHOP and Oak Tree Cinemas - hands down best vet I've ever dealt with. No frills office and the staff is amazing and kind. Their prices are comparatively inexpensive, too.
renownbrewer replied:
I've heard good things from people I trust about the clinic across Holeman Rd. from the QFC.
