I got permission. This is Alex (and his brand new bike). He is an employee at food depot on Taylor st. For those that wanted to pick up the water bottle, chain and lock, and the lights, he is working tomorrow from 2 til 9. He was so appreciative and amazed. He even said we shouldn't have. What a humble young man. Thanks to everyone who helped make this possible!! Spalding County is such a great place with a wonderful community of good hearted people!! Thank you all!!

Amanda Moore and the great people of Griffin that have made this happen...I cannot begin to thank you all from the bottom of my heart! I am seriously in tears, and have goose bumps! You see Alex is my son! He is a young man who works and lives on his own. He is just trying to make his own way in the world and just recently graduated from high school. I just talked to Alex earlier today, and he had not shared with us that his bike was stolen. I wish we had known, we would be more than willing to help him. Alex has begun to be more and more independent in recent months, and so he doesn't tell momma things and ask for help much. I guess its all a part of him becoming a man, and a determined young man, to do it himself. I am proud of the man he is becoming. Alex has had a very hard life. Some brought on himself, and some not. He in recent years, has overcame many things. I am very proud of his accomplishments! I would like to thank you all for the sweet gestures and reaching out into the community and you all for coming together and helping my son! This is such a blessing to him and I know he is grateful! Thank you all for reminding me that there are truly angels out there and people that truly care about others and good in our community! I wish I could name you all one by one and that we could thank you one by one, but I don't want to leave anyone out.
