In the summer, take them to Knight's Ferry River Rafting - it's really just river "floating" and really fun! Slow and relaxing and wet! Try Sunshine Rafting Adventures - they have a starting point, then they bring you back to your car at the end of the ride. Reservations highly recommended. Fun for ages 8 or 10 and up and for families! Don't forget the sunscreen and your own snacks.

Mercer Caverns was great but note that it is about an hour away from PML. We went there a few months back and did a little wine tasting in Murphy's while were there.
