I am looking for a good family dentist in the Guelph\ Rockwood area. The dentist I've had since I was a kid has retired.
Suzan L. replied:
I know you indicated in Guelph or Rockwood, but our dentist, Dr. Mckeown, in Fergus is e really good.
Tim B. replied:
Dr Chan or Dr Matthews in Acton by the Go train is ours. Kate goes to Dr Zettle in Guelph..Bullfrog mall. She specializes in Children and handicapped.Able to sedate if needed.
Stephanie C. replied:
Dr Raco in Guelph. He is a super nice guy and approaches dentistry as a realist. I went to another Guelph dentist and kept having to pay for expensive full head xrays and other b.s. Dr Raco is honest and the kids like going there too. He's at Gordon/Kortright.
Karin W. replied:
Love, love, love Katherine Zettle, for the kids. I don't really have a dentist myself, bad Karin.
Christine W. replied:
I like Dr. Zettle in Guelph too. The kids and I all go to her.
Any good, affordable dentists around here? Hey, r/Guelph. I've been here in Guelph for about 6-7 months now and my teeth have been acting up on me. I have a wicked...
maddscientist replied:
I've always gone to Stone Square Dental, across from the mall. I've never been there without insurance, but like most places, I think they'll cut you a break if you tell them you don't have insurance. If your tooth cracks, Guelph General hospital has an on-call dentist, but it has to be a real emergency, otherwise they'll give you painkillers and send you home (I speak from experience).
cunttastic replied:
I go to Harvard Dental. They are a young husband and wife couple (Dan and May) who are both dentists, they are so kind and friendly and have the most kind/sensitive staff. They are also very sensitive to difficult financial situations. I get all my work done by May ( TONS OF WORK BTW) and she makes the whole thing easier. She also remembers details about you and really cares about how your life is going. I highly suggest her!
snevs replied:
I'd suggest Downey Dental. Really good dentist there with a nice touch. Also good chance shell give you a break. At least worth a call to price compare.

Any reviews on the dentistry asleep place on Gordon? I see it driving past and I'm curious.
spellbunny replied:
I onced cracked a tooth and went to Dr. Nafeesa Sheikh on Gordon. She was very nice and infact was the only dental office that would even see me the same day even though I wasn't an existing patient. (As soon as other places found out I wasn't an existing patient they pretty much hung up on me) I don't have insurance and she was great about that too, didn't do anything that wasn't necessary at regular cleanings.
Dono-man replied:
I like Dr.Jain at the corner of Edinburgh and Waterloo. I have been taking my family there for many years. I am very picky about who works on my teeth. There are many dentists that I feel are just out for my money. Dr Jain has proven to be very trustworthy.
Zoodles35 replied:
The one at stone road mall is good.
delta-TL replied:
I used to go to the [Westwood Dental Group](http://westwooddentalgroup.ca/), and they were awesome! They would wait for payment and/or take postdated checks. Very friendly, no guilt if you hadn't been to a dentist for awhile. I moved a couple years ago, so I don't know if it's still like that.
mythirdeye replied:
Try Dr Hussein. From what I've heard about him, and from what I've seen, he's a stand up kind of guy. If you need work, he'll make it happen. I was in there once and a few guys were taking apart his front counter. From what I heard they were some regular clients who were tight on funds, so he traded a bit of his work for a bit of theirs. I also know he goes to teach in London every week or every other week... something like that. Also, I'm pretty sure he participates in some sort of Dentists without borders deal (not 100% on that one). Anyway, super nice guy. Flexible... and busy
Can anyone recommend a good, reasonably priced dentist in Guelph, Fergus or elora? I haven't been in 10+ years (bad, I know) and I'm pretty sure I've got my first cavity...
Candice N. replied:
Awesome! Thks Brayden Robert
Ashley R. replied:
Dr Alan Israel 71 James St, Elora, ON N0B 1S0 (519) 846-5331
Jennifer A. replied:
Dr Balint Magyar. 31 Farley Drive in Guelph. Awesome guy. Awesome honest dentist. I worked for him and he has 2 small kids so he is great with kids too.
Jennifer A. replied:
As for pricing. The Ontario dental association comes up with the pricing that the dentists have to follow ... Not the dentist. If u have an honest dentist u will have a better dental visit and dental bill. A dishonest crook of a dentist will cost you more money.

athletic_creative replied:
Don't go to Dawson Dental .. They will take you for all you're worth.
delta-TL replied:
[Westwood Dental](http://westwooddentalgroup.ca/) on Willow Road at least *used to* allow postdated cheques/payment plans when I didn't have insurance. I don't know if they still do because I've had coverage for awhile now. If you call them up and explain your position, they will be friendly and keep your financial situation in mind. I've found them to be very understanding.
kitchens-closed replied:
Dr. Hussein on Kortright. Best dentist, and you won't be paying specialist fees. Also does free consultation.
obax17 replied:
I use Westwood dental and they've always been very understanding and accommodating about my lack of funds, but I've also been a patient there since I was a kid, so I don't know if that's the norm for newer patients. Dr. Bull is great, though he looks like he's 12, but he seems to know his stuff. I've also heard good things about the dental place in the plazza with the Shoppers Drug Mart at Willow and Silvercreek (the name escapes me at the moment...), but have never been there myself. Several people I work with go there and are very pleased with the service there.
