Advice, since i worked in this business. Get a quote up front for all the work, this should end up what it costs. Get it all in writing down to amount of material being used, quality, company, etc. I wouldn't hire someone who charges by the hour buts that me. shop around multiple options. If they can make a legit contract they probably are not fully retarded like the people i have witnessed. I've seen people get taken for 30 k, 10 k, etc. I can't recommend anyone unfortunately , they all sucked IMO.

Solid advice from Nipples. Also verify that that prospective contractors are licensed and insured. Both are vital to protect yourself. I am both but only work for myself flipping houses. Best of luck on your project!

A guy I know does contracting full time, and knows his stuff. Worth a shot, even just for a quote I imagine. hpc_ (at) msn.com
