Extreme climbing center Address: 광주광역시 복구 두암동 890-1 owner: 김미경 (Kim Mi Kyong) Phone: 010-8542-8611 010-9056-6355 Website: http://cafe.daum.net/mdcc That place will let you use the shoes that are out, but if you have large feet you might be out of luck. I wear 265 and had a bit of a hard time finding my shoe size. 10 k won for the day. They are typically closed on Sundays but you can call the owner and see if any of the members are climbing that day, but they only speak Korean. They are all a friendly group.
Anyone know of a decent gym on the east part of town? Preferably in Hakdong/Namgwangju area? If not then something in roughly Nam-gu or Dong-gu.

Hi Matt. I used to go to a gym in the Komil building on the sixteenth floor. It's beside the river between Namgwangju and downtown. The views from it are quite nice and the facilities were pretty good. Here's a link for where it's located. http://goo.gl/maps/qJm7U

I also recommend the one in the basement of the KT building. It's right near Seoseok Elementary School. Not sure if this map will help, but it should get you there. The building is pretty huge, can't miss it. Go down to B1 when you enter. https://maps.google.ca/maps/ms?msid=210995580958809779282.0004 cccfc10 c010 d0 e4 d8&msa=0&ll=35.139739,126.931057&spn=0.017442,0.038581
