Because Meuhedit and Leumit are smaller they may still be able to offer you more intimate customer service. Personally, if I had to choose a health fund again, these are the questions I'd ask: 1. Do I have a chronic condition that requires a specialized doctor? If so, is there an adequate choice of doctors and allied services in the health fund to suit my particular requirements. 2. Do the doctors meet my criteria? Do they speak English, can I check their qualifications, 3. All funds are required to offer me certain basic services as outlined in the health law. Beyond that, what other services are thrown into their basic packages? 4. A comparison of their upgraded health plans 5. Is there a main branch in my area, or will I have to travel a long distance for testing and diagnostic services. 6. Do I need to travel long distances to my doctors and do they have convenient consultation times. Remember that you can change health funds on a quarterly basis, if you are not satisfied so it's not a life time commitment.
