English speaking hairdressers? Does anyone know of any English speaking hairdressers that are reasonably priced?

I don't specifically know any hairdressers that cater to foreign people but most hairdressers should be able to communicate in English. We have English classes specifically for the job during our apprenticeship. I did notice that many hairdressers don't speak English that well though. I'm a trainee myself but I come from an office environment (switched career path) so I got the advantage of speaking English fluently. I also speak exclusively English with my boyfriend (he's dutch, I'm german).
Cheap options would be the turkish hair salons, you get a men's haircut for like 9€ there but I'm not sure how good their English is.
I'd suggest calling hair salons or just give them a visit personally and kindly ask if there's a hairdresser who'd be able to understand you. That's what many foreign people do where I live.

Are you a man? woman? I can't speak for women's hairdressers sorry. I'm not aware of anywhere specifically english speaking but here's the place I use, I'm sure you'd be able to communicate what you want (all else fails, bring pictures) and they certainly know their stuff: http://soehneundvaeter.de/

https://www.phils-barbershop.de You can book online, and then you can choose Lloyd for your appointment. He is from Wales I think. They are a bit pricier though.

Don't know of any in particular, but I would say get as close to a big Uni as possible. They're more likely to cater to younger people, and therefore themselves be younger, and therefore be more likely to speak english.

[Gute Köpfe](http://www.gutekoepfe.de/) they have two locations and it's like 20 eur, walk-in only. I never had a problem getting an English speaking hair dresser if you just ask.

A quick googling came up with [Curly Corner Haarstudio](https://www.yelp.com/biz/curly-corner-haarstudio-hamburg). Only 3 reviews, but all 5 stars, so it might be worth checking out? Also might be worth it to ask in /r/hamburg. Someone in that sub is bound to also have curly hair!

I live in Berlin and would also take recommendations for here! Or if you find a good one in Hamburg I’d probably be willing to travel. Good luck!
