Downtown Chattanooga around the Aquarium there are lots of restaurants, shops, and things to do. The Crash Pad is suppose to be a good place to stay downtown and close to Lookout Mt.

Just a couple around my hometown that I can think of: If you like beer and good beer food: https://throwbackbrewery.com/ If you like fine dining and amazing food: http://www.carriagehouserye.com/ This one is expensive and you'll probably need reservations if you want a seat, its really popular right now because they just reopened under new management. There is a lot of seafood but also a lot of other options as well. Old Salt: http://www.oldsaltnh.com/menu/lunch-and-dinner/ Again seafood on the menu, but tons of other options. Bar has awesome memorabilia. Hagans Grill: http://www.hagansgrill.com/ Another more fine dining like place, a little more casual IMO than Carriage House. Let me know if that works for you.

smuttynose brewery company has the original Farm House from the property serving as a fully renovated modern facility. If you are bored with the beach you can also play a round of disc golf here for free with loaner discs.
