Dr. Otto is the BEST around, but I think she is so busy she isn't taking new patient. She is down a partner in her office. I have heard really good things about both vets in Palmyra. I think I'd try there.

The vet in Payson, Illinois is fantastic and very cheap. It used to be Lohnes Veterinary Services but they changed the name recently. I strongly recommend them...they have saved many of our animals.

Dr Otto in Monroe city is the only person I take my dogs to. One of them needed their dew claws off like a month ago so he had surgery, got meds to take home, and a rabies shot and it was like $110. We then had to take him back a week later BC he chewed his stitches out and he was given another weeks worth of meds, she wrapped his feet again, and cleaned his ears out(he has problems with his ears) and it wasn't even $20 for that.

If you expect may veterinarian office to have no odor and be spotless and no noise you're being unrealistic. They treat animals. It's going to smell like animals, and there will be animal related noises. General Veterinary Clinic has always been a good choice for my pets through the years, even the stray I took in.

Dr Kevin (forgot his last name) in monroe is amazing! My dog has seen him 4 times in the last month and a half, first for a hemotoma in her ear, and follow up treating an allergy she has to the yeast her body makes, and he has been thorough, kind, caring, attentive and very knowledgeable. I took vet classes before and know what to look for in a good vet, and he meets those skills. And super reasonable prices !

I use Hannibal Veterinary Clinic and have always been happy. Dr. Dorsey treated one of my cats who was very ill and ultimately passed away. He was wonderful with her, and with me as well.

I would not go anywhere other than General Veterinary in Hannibal. Dr Briscoe in particular, but Dr Carson is good also.

Vet across from Williams auto sales made my Yorkie bleed when giving yearly shots to the point he became sick. Then cut my other Yorkies nails too short. She yelped the whole time with us not knowing why to find all four of her paws bloody. Nope didn't go back.

I took my dog to the Hannibal vet clinic for grooming and when they were done he had bloody razor burned spots. He was so miserable. Never had such a bad grooming experience before. When I talked to the vet she told me my dog was probably just too sensitive. Advance veterinary care has always done a wonderful job.

I cannot say anything but good concerning Gen. Vet. Staff, docs are wonderful. They know me, my pets and Dr Brisco is a true cat whisperer!

Try general Veterinary clinic. 221-0300. They are reasonable and very good. Dr Welch is not good. Protocol for dental wasn't followed with my mother in law's dog and when doh was severely ill after she couldn't make time to see dog. She is now going to general vet clinic across from American legion in Hannibal

General Vetenarian Clinic. Normally he is reasonably priced but this surgery is going to cost anywhere between $500 to $700 which I don't have all at once.

Sorry to hear that, how long ago was this because I was told by Dr.Carson himself they don't take payments

We use Advance Vet clinic out by Fiddlestiks. We have the care credit card which we use every time we take the dogs in. They give us no interest payments for 12 months.

Yes General vet!! I take all my animals there. I have taken my 2 pound yorkie to them several times over the years. I have taken my yorkie this month to them to get fixed. the dog is doing soo much better now. my yorkie has been in to see them before for chewing through electrial cords and nearly dying from it. They saved his life several times. I have taken my other dogs to them. One was my 2 pound yorkies mom. She had troubles when she delivered her babies and General vet came to the rescue and fixed her right up. They are awesome and great with my pets!! I have taken all my dogs and cats to them and they treat them sooo well!! They are not expensive and I will continue to take all my animals to General vet as long as they are in business. They are very clean and treat the animals very well!!

Tractor Supply has low cost shot clinics at their store on a regular basis. That might help some. Advanced Vet Care is where we go, but with 3 cats and 2 dogs, things get pricey, but they work with me...but I have been going there for many years. Could also check out NEMO Humane Society for any recommendations. Good luck!
