Hi there. Does anyone have any idea who is a good neuro surgeon in zimbabwe?
Tasneem L. replied:
Dr. Kalangu04251983 or 04708001
Ann H. replied:
Ms Maraire. You would have to go through your own GP.
Katie S. replied:
Dr Maraire us amazing but you need to be referred and it takes a while to get an Appt.
Lee M. replied:
Dr Musara is amazing too - he literally saved my baby's life. He was quite newly qualified at the time (5 years ago) - which I didn't know and it was an emergency done at 1 am, so there was no choice - my son would have been dead by the morning! But when I had to take my son to Pari for a brain ECG a few months after his surgery I met his Professor from UZ - and he told me Dr Musara was a seriously talented neurosurgeon and he was glad he hadn't fled the country after he qualified.
Deborah H. replied:
Prof Kalangu is amazing and highly qualified from Belgium

Contact Ashok Desai. He does all arrangements/consults for India.
Willoxx M. replied:
l do think think there are very capable doctors in Zim some of which you can make payment plans e.g Dr Mbuwayesango and team who successfully separated twins, its only that we now have a tendency of rushing to other countries and have lost faith in our very own. There are plenty affordableand caring doctors in Zim.
Jax K. replied:
Hi, we took my dad to India last year for an abdominal aortic aneurysm repair. We went to Artemis hospital in Gurgaon, New Delhi. DO NOT get it done in Zim. There is a lack of the necessary equipment for this particular surgery. We worked with CIMAS who connected us to the hospital in India and who also heavily subsidized the cost. If you would like more info and contact information, DM me. I would be happy to provide more info.
