Brookdale - Dr. Pressley is so good. Our rescue cat got sick, he did everything he could to help. After he passed, Dr. P called to check on us and sent a card. They are extremely compassionate and caring.

Dr. Pressley is amazing. Great with our ailing dog and amazing when she could not hold on any longer. Just moved to the area and was a little scared that we had a very old pet and did not have a relationship with any vet to care for her. They treated us like we had been there since she was a puppy.
Margaret R. replied:
Dr Sain at University Animal
Jessica B. replied:
I would recommend Dr. Pressley at Brookdale Animal Hospital. He was wonderful with my dog who is hard to handle at the vet & he works with the local shelter cats. He's very compassionate! I had a hard time with Dr. Sain at University, I wouldn't recommend him.
Karen C. replied:
Love Dr. Sain! Has taken care of all three of our cats, including one with diabetes. He's been very honest and straight-forward about prognosis. Some people don't like that he suggests lab work, etc. that many don't see as necessary for a pet, but wouldn't question for themselves. You are never obligated to do everything any doctor or vet suggests. You ultimately decide.
Laura H. replied:
Foster Animal Hospital is the best! My family has been taking our animals there since I was a kid! They are all wonderful and compassionate, the doctors and staff! They were so great when I had to put one of my old men (my cat) to sleep, they let me love on him and be there with him until the end. They understand that animals are a part of your family!
LaCrisha E. replied:
Mallard creek animal hospital were amazing to us. Unfortunately it was our first visit and we knew the choice that we had to make. Dr. Hyatt was so compassionate and helpful through the process. They sat with us when we needed and let us take all the time we wanted. She made a very tough decision peaceful reminding us how selflessness was the best thing we could be our girl. Sending peaceful prayers to you
Andrea B. replied:
Brookdale! Dr. Pressley and staff are great!
Victor T. replied:
Dr. Presley was wonderful when we had to make difficult decision to put our dog down. He is not about spending tons of money but very compassionate about a member of your family and the decisions that will change your family. We love him!

University on 49. I actually had asked this several months ago, when my lo fell ill (we now know her trachea collapsed, common in small old dogs). We were seen the same day we called. The first visit is free (or maybe $1), a follow up for shots or etc within 30 is also free. All procedures are extremely reasonable. While there, she needed x-rays. The machine went down shortly after and they had a difficult time fixing it. They didn't charge us for the service and quickly got us in to see the specialist. Dr Sain personally called me for all reports and to check on my sweet girl once she was on the mend. He is fantastic!

Brookdale animal hospital - Dr. Pressley we switched recently to him. Our dog has chronic issues and he laid out all the options based on cost to let us decide a treatment course. Great partnership to take care of our dog with a realistic plan.
We love Poplar Animal Hospital. We have dogs and cats with more than the normal issues. They are very knowledgeable and have been so helpful. They were also wonderful when it was time to say goodbye on one of our cats.

I cannot say enough good things about the Holly Pike Animal Hospital (or its other office in Newville). We live in DC and we drive up to take our dog there for yearly checkups and (recently) for other stuff like teeth-cleanings. It's out of the way for us but we always think it's worth the trip. Dr. Hasko is incredible but my parents use someone else that they adore too so you can't go wrong.
