Try Air BnB the real New Yorker way. If not, Pennsylvania hotel is reasonable price. Average hotel price per night is around $150-200, for a decent one in Manhattan. Take megabus to NYC will be the cheapest if you book in advance

My Mother in law is a real estate agent with Cruise Planners and despite the name, she can arrange trips anywhere. She just planned an extended weekend to NYC for a couple which included hotel and various tour ideas amongst other things. She does an excellent job and it doesn't cost you anything extra and often she gets better deals than regular people can get on their own. If you are interested at all, I can put you in touch with her.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a hotel in Ocean City, MD? (Kid friendly) Thanks!
