Gim Ling!

Most of the above are "okay" -- like China Moon, Empire, Imperial, etc. Gim Ling on Harper near 13 is top-notch. You can make a meal out of their Won Ton soup alone -- along with the expected wontons and scallions, you'll get chunks of pork and fresh vegetables. And the inside is very clean, classy, and upscale. Here's a blurry photo of the soup I had the last time I went.

Imperial Palace on Harper just North of 16 Mile. Not much to look at but has the best Chinese food in the area, hands down!! Have tried several others and keep going back to old faithful.
Elizabeth H. replied:
Imperial Palace us a good place to start. Close to home and good recommendation s on here. Taking a special needs person, who loves Chinese food, out to lunch next week.
New to the neighborhood, was looking for a few recommendations,
1. A decent pizza place (Not Carlos) I said decent.
2. A quality coffee shop that is pet friendly
3....
Kris M. replied:
#3 East Side Tavern (aka, The Basement Bar. Franks). Lots of history. Great burgers (featured in Hour magazine) world famous fried bologna sandwich. inexpensive drinks, friendly atmosphere, entertainment on weekends.
Suzanne W. replied:
1. Luigi's ob Jefferson north of Crocker. 2. Che Cosa on Crocker west of Harper. Don't think pets are allowed. 4. A Healing Touch on Jefferson near St. Clair Shores border (14 1/2 mile) You'll feel good. Don't think you'll be 'that happy ' at the end. 5. Luigi's. Best food in the area.

Not sure where you are from originally... #1 Pizza I would make the trip to Green Lantern on 15 Mile & Utica.. .Best Pizza Ever #2 Don't drink coffee so I can't help ya there #3 this might be my favorite request.... Basement bar/ Franks Eastside Tavern... they have entertainment and such.... Jefferson Street Pub is good, Windjammer haven 't been in years but if it's just drinks ya want well why not give it a whirl. #4 Haven't been but I've heard Wizzard of AAHHHs is a good place, don't think they do happy endings, they closed those places down buddy #5 My all time favorite is Luigis (for Italian), Terrys Terrace is good, Bentley's is another one, Sandbar has good food and decent drinks, Crews Inn... Bumpers... #6 Can 't help ya with this one either. Welcome to HT - it's a great place to live and play =)
Diane G. replied:
Nothing like Eastside Tavern. Best place, best entertainment on the weekends, old speakeasy, huge history, best patrons, both young and old.
Peggy O. replied:
Luigi’s in Harrison twp, & Cloverleaf East Pointe for pizza.
Leon R. replied:
1 brionis 2 Che cosa is our only coffee shop. Not sure if pets are allowed. I hate pet friendly places. 3. Harrison Township is full of dive bars. Pick the one nearest to your residence 4. Tucker Park men’s room in the spring summer and fall 5 Luigi’s is our only good restaurant. Bentley’s is the best for typical bar good 6 you gotta go to Clinton Township for that. Our township board is full of lil Jeff Sessions wanna bees
Look for places that have great 1) Mexican, 2) Sushi and 3) Chinese in Macomb county? (Indidually / not at the same restaurant) Thanks

China Kitchen, which is near 15 and Gratiot is good, as is P.F. Chang's at Partridge Creek. For sushi, I'd go to Naruto Sushi which is around 15 and Van Dyke, or Ichiban Japanese Steakhouse on Hall Road.
Allayne C. replied:
Crazy Gringo - better than Mexican Town!

Grand Azteca on Groesbeck is really good - far better than Pacos or P&C, imo. I’m still looking for good Chinese food.
