Anybody have any good lawyers in PA? I know one but I want a back up. Just heard from the Riverside Shelter that they can't identify my dog - even though he was...

Contact Fox Rothschild LLP. They have two offices in Philadelphia, PA. This is the firm that Nancy Halpern DVM works for, though she is in the NJ office, I believe. Her number is 609.844.7404, and she can probably recommend someone in the PA office if she can't handle it with one of her colleagues. http://www.foxrothschild.com/offices/default.aspx#sthash.916Dpftv.dpuf

Renee, Elizabeth did offer to pay the adoption fee, still a no go. Joe Overlease, there is a case right now in Ohio concerning a Microchipped sheltie named Piper who got lose while with a pet sitter and was turned into a shelter on Good Friday. They called and left a message, but on Monday turned her over to Ohio Sheltie Rescue who is now refusing to return the dog. Microchip didn't help at all. There is a link but I don't have it on me.

Too many wait too long to involve an attorney and allow matters to escalate and often make even finding their dogs impossible. Dr Greer reported on a case that she represented a few years ago where the owner had the wherewithal to call her during a raid and was told to hand the phone to the local authorities present at the scene. She had the owner photo ea dog as it was being removed, and then the attorney arrived shortly thereafter to the ac where the dogs were detained. They were shocked that she photographed each dog again and also scanned for microchips. Within days most of the dogs had been transferred out of the area. When the attorney contacted a week later and was told the dogs were all "gone", she insisted that she must visit each dog to do a welfare check and drove hundreds of miles to document care. When she showed that the photos of the dogs on the day of confiscation at ac were vastly different than the photos of the dogs taken at the property, and that just a week later the dogs were in even worse shape while under the care of ac and shelters, the owner got got her dogs back.
Does anyone know a lawyer that would be willing to represent me for free? I am living in my car and so therefore I have no money at all. Message me if you know anyone. I...
