Carnegie Deli for lunch if you have never been. Be ready to be herded in and cramped together, but definitely delicious...you will probably want to share...huge portions...reuben is my fav. Babbo is one of our very favorites for dinner. Bistro Milano oon 1350 Avenue of the Americas near the New York Hilton is great...and you can make reservations for after a show (212-757-2600). Le Bernardin is also excellent. LaBonne (212-586-7650) on 48 West 55 th St between 5 th and 6 th is another good one where you can go after a show. Peter Luger Steak House "under the Brooklyn Bridge" is always a good choice. Bar Americanin on 52 nd and Michael's on 56 th are others you may want to check out. LaCirque is unique and delicious...luncn maybe and The Four Seasons (at least have a martini there!). I love Novu...delicious! Aureole New York is always great for dinner and great atmosphere and very traditional "New York"! I love New York shopping ...5 th Avenue and Madison Avenue...Bloomingdale's is practical and always has great choices if you get sticker shock at other places!!! Have a wonderful trip!!!!!!!!

Momma Mia and Wicked for sure!

Jersey Boys, Mama Mia, Wicked, ...of course if you haven't seen Phantom.... I wouldn't suggest The Book of Morman or Rock of Ages....I thought they were raunchy...Chicago was OK, but not my fav. Of course you want to go to the top of the Empire State Building during the day for the view....then to the Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center (and ice skating or watching them at Rockefeller Center) for the view and a picture of the Empire State Building and Chrysler Building lit up! If you choose not to do the Top of the Rock, the Marriott at Times Square has a revolving bar/restautant so you can see the entire citiy ...again, best at sunset or night. The train station is beautiful...have a drink at the bar and enjoy the decor and people watching. Central Park is beautiful...if you have time take a carriage ride through. Depending on how long you have, Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty is great, but I didn't do that until my 4 th or 5 th trip...so much to see and do. OK...going to post suggestions for restaurants next!

There was a restaurant like that in the Building that became the Open Mind on Hardy at the corner of Hardy and 21 st Ave. There was also one in Mendenhall that was more popular.
Barbara P. replied:
Yes i have eaten at Mendenhal when I travelled with MS Public Health Service. Sur liked the one in H'burg 'cause I did not have to cook when we went there on Sunday after Church/ Thanks

Mr. C. worked for my Dad for awhile. He gave me a few plates from the restaurant and we use them to this day.
