There's a place in Swannanoa called Moments cafe, and the owner also does catering. I had their food at a wedding and it was AMAZING! If you google moments cafe it should pull them up

Black Eyed Susan's in Black Mountain. Great folks - they do small affairs as well as some famous people. Just had the Sierra Nevada folks hire them. Brad & Cynthia Brasher -828-712-6313. Tell them I recommended them.

If you want BBQ: we did Okie Dokies for our wedding, Luella's BBQ does great catering as well. Who ever you look into; ask what their record is and lookup (if you can with the health department.) When I got married, I heard HORROR stories of food poisoning from places I would Not expect. A good wedding consultant/planner, or Angie's List may help in making a decision.
