The Legal Aid Society website www.las.org has information about your rights as a renter. Unfortunately we are not taking any cases right now due to the overwhelming amount of people in need in the 5 counties that we cover. I normally do not respond to postings here, but young lady, there are numerous local lawyers that will be more than happy to assist you in this matter, without having to resort to the 'predator lawyers', whose true motivation is THEIR PERCENTAGE of your lawsuit, not your condition, nor the condition of your child/family. You may even find that there are Pro Bono lawyers that would assist, in this case. But a 'case'? You most definitely have one, and you should pursue it to the fullest extent of the law.
