I'm looking for a veterinarian for Sam! Any suggestions? My last one was just ok.....
Elaine H. replied:
Popey he is in Gallatin.. If you know anything about Gallatin his clinic is 426 Maple St, Gallatin.... You turn right at the light between Walgreen's and CVS. Just across the street from Walgreen's is Alexander Funeral Home... His clinic is just behind CVS on the left.... He has a website. www.mcmillanvetclinic.com or it is in yellow pages... That's who we use
Megan S. replied:
We love Dr. Duke at The Animal Clinic! Great doc, very compassionate, and helps us make informed decisions we are comfortable with both emotionally and financially.
Debby F. replied:
Love Animal Clinic
Mary R. replied:
I went to New Shackle Island Vet. Where is Animal Clinic?
Brenda M. replied:
Dr. Shannon is the best. Sally loves him.
Elaine H. replied:
Jerry McMillan from Franklin has a his Vet place here in Gallatin if you want someone you know.... good ole Franklin, KY boy...
Looking for a place to board dogs for a friend. They are not interested in a vet, but a place where their dogs can stay overnight and also get some play time. Thank you!

We go to Pampered Pets in Donelson.

Hey East Nashville Family, I just found a small tumor on the stomach of my sweet rescue, Khaleesi (Khalee for short) and I was wondering who the best vet in the area...
Samantha N. replied:
We loved Dr Johnson at blue pearl. Our bam bam's comfort was her priority and she was incredibly respectful of our decisions regarding treatment. She was very thorough and thoughtful when explaining options and we just loved her.
Michael F. replied:
Mobley. Outstanding care!
Libby M. replied:
I second the vote for the oncologist at Blue Pearl, Dr. Kim Johnson. I hope you don't need the services of an oncologist, but if you do there is no more compassionate vet than Dr. Johnson. She is absolutely wonderful.
Jessica B. replied:
5 points Animal hospital! I've worked with all the vets there and they are amazing. Dr. Regan diagnosed my girl & then sent us to Nashville Vet Specialists to see Dr Vancil. My pup had her third round of chemo today. Good luck to you and your pup, here's hoping for just a fatty tumor!!
Amanda C. replied:
My dog sees Dr. Regan at 5 Points and loves him! She has several fatty tumors and he has done aspirations on them all and checks them every year to make sure they aren't changing. He's also great with fielding my random questions about medication/arthritis/whatever in a down-to-earth way. Dr. Grace at 5 Points is good as well. I have seen Dr. Lutz at West Meade for heartworm treatment and he is great as well, just farther away.
Laura L. replied:
Bailey, we certainly hope this will turn out to be just a benign fatty tumor. If not, though, you will definitely want your care provider to be Animalia Health and Wellness in Franklin. In addition to state of the art conventional care, Animalia also offers holistic and alternative complementary therapies...and that's what you'll want if you're dealing with cancer. No veterinarians in the East Nashville area have experience with or offer holistic therapies, and will not be able to offer you guidance on nutrition, supplements, and other options for you to help support Khaleesi during her healing process. If her tumor is malignant, they will refer you to Dr. Vancil, the oncologist at Nashville Veterinary Specialists. Together, they will help you craft the best plan to support Khaleesi with the best in both conventional and holistic care. Also, since Animalia is the primary care provider for three rescue groups (including mine), they have a wide range of experience with things most other veterinary practices may not. Yes, it's a bit of a drive...but, in my opinion, completely worth it as far as being able to provide Khaleesi with the broadest range of options available to her. Best of luck to you...and hoping this turns out to be nothing at all!
Jay F. replied:
Animal House on harding pl. Dr. Herd
Dale C. replied:
5 Points is very good, though not cheap. Dr Regan is terrific there too.
Justin E. replied:
Nashville Vet Specialists are awesome! They fixed my 4 pound chihuahua when she dislocated her hip and were great every step of the way. They will be expensive to go to directly especially because you would have to go to them through either a referral from another vet or through their emergency department. For a small tumor I would definitely seek out a primary care vet for diagnosis and if needed they can refer you to Nashville Vet Specialists
Sara P. replied:
Animalia Health & Wellness is fantastic. It's a drive out to Franklin, but worth it completely.
Julie T. replied:
Dr. Lewis at Kingston Springs Animal Hospital
Joanne B. replied:
Mike Corwin, Airport Animal Clinic. Best Vet ever. To determine a problem, he runs a test for what he thinks it might be. If it's not that, then h does another etc, until he finds what 's up. Unlike many of the other vets that run a whole block of tests. Great guy!
Errka P. replied:
Corwin dId ACL surgery for almost $2000 less than what Mobley estimated. My 80 lb lazy dog is back to brand new. He was great and down to earth.
Barb H. replied:
Can you drive to Mt Juliet? I'm involved in rescue and have a pack of my own. Dr. Kevin Brummett at The Ark is the most gentle & kind vet I've ever known and I've had dogs in his care for 10 years. He's saved a couple from near death due to high dollar/terrible diagnoses from other vets. He's a beautiful soul.
Angela B. replied:
I've heard fantastic things about Dr Grace at Five Points. We go to Richland Animal on Charlotte since we've been with Dr Brockman since mine were born.
Michelle H. replied:
I love Dr. Robison at Mobley too. He's so nice. FWIW, my dog has a little fatty tumor on the side of her chest. It's not anything terrible, but they keep an eye on it. They can tell really quick if that's what it is. Might just be a common little benign condition.
Barb H. replied:
Oh! Nash Vet Specialists at 100 Oaks are high in my list for ER. Purposes. They have stabilized a couple of my dogs for transport.
Brandi H. replied:
Dr. Mobley he took great care of my Yorkie when we found a tumor on her!
Justin E. replied:
Value Vet is super cheap but for something like a potential tumor that may need a few routine checkups you may need a vet that can handle more. Five Points Animal Hospital has been super great to us and our three dogs. They are completely honest about their prices and try to not charge any needless expenses. Super friendly staff as well!
Tiffany P. replied:
Dr. Robison at Mobley Vet Clinic. He saved my dog's life. Seriously. My dog has a super rare disorder that causes his intestines to swell, preventing protein absorption. If it wasn't for his tireless efforts--conference calls to Auburn and UT, ultrasounds, blood work, etc--he wouldn't be here today. Dr. Robison NEVER gave up trying to find out what was wrong with my pet.
Andrea M. replied:
Dr. Lutz at West Meade vet. He's in West Nashville but I've been going to him for over 15 years with my many dogs. I don't live there anymore but still go to him. He is amazing, always reasonably priced and always is honest and knowledgeable.
Dävid R. replied:
I suggest that you contact Brown Dog Foundation, they may be able to help you with the treatment cost. Best of luck!
I MUST find a cheaper veterinarian in town! Please help with suggestions!
Angie G. replied:
We go to New Shackle Veterinary Clinic. They are very nice and reasonable.
Jennifer J. replied:
We go to Indian Lake Animal Clinic...pretty reasonable I think.
Amanda W. replied:
We've been going to H'ville Animal Hospital, but it's around $200 every time I take one of the dogs, and it's just too much. Thanks for the suggestions!
Michele S. replied:
We go to McMillian Vet in Gallatin. A visit is usually around $75 unless there is a bunch of medicine like flea/tick/heartworm stuff. Our groomer is there too. She charges $45 for my little fluffy guy
Jackie A. replied:
we love Volunteer Vet on New shackle. Dr. Dixon is the best and my great friend Mary Benet Davis is a RN there. They love and take such good care of my dogs!
Does anyone know of any vet offices open today? My yorkie is having some labored breathing and coughing and I really want to get him checked out. Hopefully we can make...
Amy B. replied:
Emergency clinics will be open. The closest to you would most likely be Rivergate Pet Emergency Clinic. Good luck, be safe.
Can someone tell me who the most reasonable vet is in Hendersonville? I usually use McMillan in Gallatin but do not want to drive to Gallatin. My Oliver is sick!
Cyndi S. replied:
Dr. Graham on Walton Ferry. Very sweet people.
Sharon S. replied:
New Shackle Island Vet. Drs. Layne and Koelling are wonderful and caring doctors!!
Home Depot in Hendersonville is looking for a disabled vet of any prior engagements in the Hendersonville Area. Please pass on to anyone that this may help.
