You should move to the Tri cities and commute for work. It's a quick 30-40 min drive. Hermiston is extremely boring! You always have to leave to do something fun. By fun I include any kind of food other than bar or fast food. If you have to live in the city I would contact Sheri Britt at America west reality. She grew up in the area and recently sold a house there that we owned.

Welcome to Hermiston, Danyelle Dale & family!! A good start would be to check out Hermiston Parks & Recreation's facebook page & get a copy of their publication lists activities for all ages. And of course the Chamber of Commerce (541-567-6151), I believe they have a packet of info that they send out to those moving in, if asked. Hermiston has many good churches, several new schools with beautiful homes around each. Enjoy your stay here.

We are a small town of just over 17,000. I've lived here for many years. Graduated HS, etc. I think you will like our town. There are areas of older homes, but also areas of very nice newer homes. We may not be big on variety of restaurants but we are only about 30 miles away from 3 towns with many, many choices. Good schools, good people. It will be different than what you are used to, but I think you'll like it here.
