Who thinks Herne Bay (Broomfield, Talmead, reculver) end of town is lacking a good gym? Would you join one if it was to put around this end of town? Thanks
Matt J. replied:
I'd say no, Simply because the one at the other end of town, https://www.facebook.com/888055861309047 Prime Performance Gym, is so good. Even if there was another gym on my doorstep I'd still make the trip to use Prime.

Big thanks to Mat Wyles, within 1/2 hour he had dropped a copy of this page through my door. I remember the "Brewery Tap" being there.
Jill W. replied:
That building was known as `The Brewery Tap ` and Ian Bingham`s parents had the dairy next to it
Ian B. replied:
The Brewery tap off licence was run during the 1950's by a Mr & Mrs Eddney later taken over by the Kelsey family from Halifax, Brian (Son) Kelsey is still around last heard of living in Essex. Barbara ( daughter) sadly died, Barbara took over from her parents and run the place with her husband ( so I am told) prior to these events I have no knowledge, we lived next door at the Dairy until that folded in the 1960's, the Kelsey family were a lovely family and we became very friendly, remember watching the Coronation on TV .in 1953 we had an open house and the Kelsey family joined us. I think the Brewery tap was connected with the yard/ building almost opposite where I understood the horses were kept for the brewery.. The Darby family owned much of that property opposite.
