Norwegian Air. Inexpensive and good flights. Try Airbnb or renting a small apartment. You can get some good central Manhattan locations for a lot less than a hotel room.

Try Hazel at Atlas travel if you set the budget she will get you the best prices and wonderful hotels, we have been using Atlas for years and have never used anyone else for holidays excellent service and nothing ever too much trouble. Look at the website nothing to loose getting a price

I thoroughly recommend this website - Budget Places. We stayed in a wonderful b&b in 119 th Street. Yes, it's a little further out but was quiet, peaceful and only a 5 min subway ride to the centre so no bother at all.
