Stoff Bauer in Nürnberg is the best place we have found.

Two or three times a year the big Stoffmarkt Holland comes to Fürth. It was there last week in the centre of town. It is on from 10 am till 5 pm but we normally get there for 9 to avoid the crowds as it gets very busy. They have a bit of everything and it is very seasonal. There is usually a wide range of fabrics and price ranges including a couple of stalls with fat quarters and other stalls with trimmings etc.You can pay in cash or card and, be warned, you will see things you didn't know you needed!!! I think the next one will be in the autumn but it might say on their website: www.stoffmarktholland.de
