Absolutely NOT! Ca law states $10 per signature!!! Did the notary charge a travel fee? I've been a notary since 2001. Have done thousands of signings.

Signatures are $10 each and the balance would have been the travel fee .. the travel fee, although higher than what most would charge, it was perfectly legal. Be sure to contact Lisa Dubois or DeAnna Siri LaFave in the future, both are great.

Signatures ONLY can't b over $10 per signature. If notary created or provided POA and travel fee could b additional. But ACTUAL signatures can only be max $10 per signature. Itemization on receipt should show breakdown. (I used to teach new notaries for Calif. School of Notary Public.)
