I've been trying to loose weight and it's been a stressful experience. I have been going to my dr's and got blood work done. I have a b12 deficiency so we got that under...

Hey Marissa! Look at yourtrainerpaige.com. she's an online personal trainer. I haven't used her but she looks good and us cheaper than most gyms! She has a good blog I follow.

Contact Leif O'Kelley. He will get you a great work out and diet plan together and it works!!!

^^^ Not according to science. Good grief. I realize everybody has different experiences, but come on. No weights? That's just a ridiculous statement. If you believe this, go follow Tracy Anderson or some other idiot.

Weight lifting is actually the best way to lose overall body fat. It continues to burn fat after your done working out. Cardio burns while you are doing it but then stops. Someone above linked to Body Builder.com. They have lots of different programs you can follow with daily workouts (12 week program) that can "train" you on what to do and get you comfortable lifting at your own pace and seeing some progress. They have an app that can be used at the gym for each exercise. I used to use a trainer but it wasn't enough so I gave this a try. Good luck!

And I didn't add, you don't have to necessarily lift like a body builder. There are lots of bodyweight workouts that just hold lighter weights and do things like squats, planks, etc. So you won't have to become a champion body builder to lose body fat! There are lots of other internet sources like http://glistenfit.com/ and http://www.kaylaitsines.com.au/ that have good programs/ideas you can follow.

You do look good and remember it's always best to get fit for your health and to enable you to do the things you want rather than to change your body shape. I know how monumentally hard it can be to do on your own without a workout or running buddy. Have you checked meetup.com for exercise or running groups? You like to climb. Have you tried a climbing gym? I know a lot of crossfit acolytes. I think it's pretty good if you find the right group with the right focus and don't take it too far.

Dont get discouraged.....If you look on the web you can find a few things to help. A meal plan, fitness shopping lists, a workout schedule and if you need to see how to do something youtube it..... A good personal trainer is difficult to find, especially one that you can work with and you like. Its difficult to tell anyone what to do and how to do it over text. You can do alot of exercises at home too. youtube will give you the best explanations when it comes to ab workouts, cardio, and other resistance exercise. Free weights is another ball game. I see stuff like this online all the time. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xbm4 zga46 qA/Ug43B63AGuI/AAAAAAAABTo/XUiUgCqtcwE/s1600/30-Day-Fitness-Challenge.jpg

Hiya Marissa- a few thoughts. Glad to hear you're doing all this the smart way! Sorry you found the nutritionist your doc recommended to be unfriendly- I'm quite sure there are others in your area, though. You might consider doing a simple Google search and reading reviews of folks in your area. Finally, what, exactly, is your goal? I'm hoping it's to lose fat, not weight. If that's the case, the "kid who only seemed to know about lifting weights" may be able to help. Or, you could always ask for a different trainer at your gym- one who specializes in helping people lose bodyfat. Just a few thoughts. GO GET 'EM!!!
