I know a dentist who is very, very nice to her patients, warm towels, earphones, herbal tea, etc. She isn't a very good dentist, so I won't name names.

I don't remember the name offhand, but if you like dogs, there's a dentist in SE with a dog to keep you calm during visits.

Dr Frasier at Kaiser in Beaverton is worth every thing. I put off dental appointments for 6 years, needed cavities filled, the works. She has the softest touch and she’s able to clearly explain everything. It’s like talking to a friend. I can’t recommend her enough.

Responding late but I have the perfect suggestion. Sleep Dentistry of Portland. It's pretty deep in Gresham but is so so worth it. I hadn't gone to the dentist in a decade because I was absolutely terrified of it. This place is specifically catering to those with dental anxiety. This dentist lets you go on nitrous (laughing gas) for any appointment at no extra cost. Even just check ups or cleanings. You also get to chose how strong of a dose you want (it's constantly administered through a nasal mask, so you can change it higher or lower at any point.) the nitrous makes you absolutely calm, and it actually makes the appointments enjoyable. It completely removed my dental anxiety, and I suggest it every time some one tells me they're scared of the dentist. They also have decently loud music, and every one there is trained for people with dental anxiety specifically. Absolutely could not recommend them more.

I got mine extracted at Beaverton Oral Surgeons on TV Highway last week. They did a great job, but of course the removal is the easy part.

Had my 4 wisdoms out last summer, I went to Definition Dental in Beaverton. It was honestly a great experience, they are always very nice and caring. They kept asking me questions making sure I felt comfortable and I eventually passed out for most of the extractions. Been there for fillings and checkups too, never have had a single complaint. They are always very kind and fun to talk to and professional of course.
Mistaspiffy replied:
I went to Hillsboro Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery to get all 4 wisdom teeth removed and it was a quick and painless operation the staff were very nice. they didnt explain much what was going to happen as they put me under, but thats probably the best way to do it. i experienced very little pain and only slight soreness while using a face wrap velcro ice pack. cost about 1,200 but i dont have the best insurance

Dr. David Neville in Aloha has been our family dentist since he started his practice in the 90 s and I can't speak more highly of him. He's very practical and conscious of costs, flexible and kind. I've given other places a shot twice and always regretted it.
Anyone know a good dentist in Hillsboro/Portland area? Need a second opinion.....
