PMC Photography did our wedding and according to their Website do family photo sessions (i think in a non-studio type setting). Photographers Paul and Sarah Casey are just lovely and have kids of their own so I'm sure they would do a wonderful job capturing great pics of any family.
Nina H. replied:
www.facebook.com/ninahamiltonphotography Hello! I am a family photographer. I charge a flat fee which includes a 90 min on-location session and approx 40 digital images. My sessions are fun and relaxed and I like to photograph outside, using natural light, rather than in a studio. I am more than happy to have a chat :) Feel free to contact me via Facebook or pop over to my webpage [link via FB]. Nina xx

Just wondering if someone knows of any tour companies in Tasmania , who do Aurora guided tours like they do in Norway , Thanks
Shane G. replied:
This has come up before and the short answer is that No there isn't. But the long answer is that there are a couple of Professional Photography teachers that may take you out if conditions are right. Cant reach their names but someone here will know!
Nadia T. replied:
The thing is 'one doesn't really need a tour' to see an aurora australis in Tasmania. We have so much available / accessible terrain [sure we could be closer to the magnetic pole ]. Which is why we have this doc in our Files section with suggested viewing location map link in it. :) https://www.facebook.com/notes/aurora-australis-tasmania/where-to-go-to-see-an-aurora/645119455522941
Stefan D. replied:
The Astronomical Society Tasmania and Tamar Valley Astronomy Group both have observing sessions open to the public. Check out facebook pages and contact us. We'll show you around the night sky, get a look through a telescope or two, of course and Aurora are bonus.
Loic G. replied:
We run a few workshops each year with a night sky component http://www.wildislandtas.com.au/event/bay-of-fires-landscape-night-sky-photography-workshop/

Hi. Just wondering if you have a photographer this year? I'm a new photographer (just finished Diploma of Photography) and would like to take a few photos if allowed....
Jessica V. replied:
Hi Sarah. Jessica Crowden is our official photographer. Any one can come and take photos, but we ask that in respect to Jess, no one else taking photos sells them.
Sarah W. replied:
I don't think it would be. So its okay that i come and take a few photos? Are you okay with that Jessica Crowden? I've just created a Facebook page for my photography - https://www.facebook.com/Photography-by-Sarah-1685666281691977/
