Trying to find a chiropractor around Northampton who's not a complete charlatan. I'm not looking for "gentle and subtle." Suggestions? And not your brother-in-law...

I have as you know an old back injury that has screwed me up often over the years. Lee Cain in Amherst has helped me keep it under control . No bullshit or New Age remedies, good old manipulation of the spine to get things aligned right. 413 549 1500

I've followed Hartley Hennessey DC around the Valley for the past decade from Hadley to Noho and now in South Hadley, an hour away. You won't be disappointed. He does amazing soft tissue manual therapies, too, with your adjustments. Lookup Everest Chiropractic on 116 near Mt. Holyoke.

Jim H. replied:
Dr Jeff Soley. He has the pro adjuster that is used on fighter jets. I know it sounds intense but it is better that traditional back crackers. Look him up
Sara K. replied:
Bruce Coulombe or Hartley Hennessey at Everest Chiropractic on 116 near Mt. Holyoke. Bruce is the practitioner I see. I can't say enough good things about him.

I think Dr. Kowalski on Elm is excellent, old school and inexpensive. He doesn't take insurance so keeps his rates very low. He's also really up on all sorts of remedies. Wonderful guy.
Sara K. replied:
Deliah Rosel in Northampton and Conway is a great massage therapist. Yin Yoga is also helpful. Ross Bros also had good advice. Get out of 'the chair'
Rob M. replied:
The guy in Southampton is suppose to be good. Forget the name but he's across from Opa Opa. Otherwise you might try acupuncture with Dr. Charles Brummer, Md. His practice is called integrated medicine. He is away this week but he takes some insurance and he is wholistic.

Sally Atkinson easthampton ma. I am terrified of chiro but go when I have to and she respects that AND fixes me.

I see Susan Denny at Community Chiropractic in Northampton and I like her a lot...she's appropriately un-gentle (though I haven't seen any other chiropractors to compare to). And it's the most affordable place I've found.

Philip Grover in Pittsfield
