Anyone know of a good chiropractor they trust? Got a referral today, called about 7 hours ago & still haven't heard back.

Trey Lott is the only one I would trust.

Yes, Trey Lott!
Dan C. replied:
I sure wish we had a Doc Rea out here. He always knew what to do, and as importantly, what not to do. My mom had a mistrust of chiropractors, but finally went to see Dr. Rea and soon had no back pain after years of suffering.
Doris V. replied:

I have an awesome Chiropractor. Look up the website Morgan Chiropractor on Facebook. They do disc decompression, therapy and so much more. They are awesome. Dr G would be great for you. He is a complete athlete and understands the other athletes he works with.
Terry Jones of Rocky Ridge Chiropractic. Has sponsored our team for several years and rides a lot. She understands cyclist's bodies really well.

If anyone out there has a recommendation for either a chiropractor or massage therapist (that takes out of state insurance) I'd love to know :(
Shelly M. replied:
Amy Self -LMT is a family friend, and an amazing massage therapist, though I don't know how she does insurance.
David R. replied:
Stephen Wade is recommended by another LMT friend of mine. I don't know if he handles insurance, but I know he will work with people who can't afford his regular rates. I think my friend Delia may also work with him.
Amy S. replied:
If my opinion counts... Massage therapy over chiropractic. Second, does Google show any massage schools nearby? Students learning techniques are very thorough, need to get "hours" and are usually very affordable. If you were home i would recommend jeannie in media
Joy H. replied:
AND ..Debra Baxter Cooper for the massage. Do both--chiropracter first!
Erika E. replied:
I worked with Ellen Witt (chiropractor) in Homewood when I was struggling with my soft-tissue damage post-car wreck 2008. She is highly regarded in town and works with UAB spinal surgeons. She helped me immensely when I was in serious pain. (what is awesome is to get a massage, get relaxed, and then go to the chiro.... easier to adjust).
Erika E. replied:
In the meantime some Flexeril or Skelaxin might help, especially at bedtime. Student Health Services as initial visit?
Madison H. replied:
I'm a massage therapist at Birmingham School of Massage, we don't take insurance, but, we're $60 per hour with professionals, and we have student clinics on Saturdays for $30/hour. Any of the professionals should be able to help, and the students are generally pretty good.
