can anyone recommend a therapist/psychologist I'm having anxiety attacks that are becoming more frequent. I had several check-ups that confirm physically I'm fine, and...

[Here](http://www.honoluluclinicalpsychology.com/) is a clinic that I managed to find with some searching. It's in the downtown area, and it looks like they specialize in depression and anxiety. I don't have any experience with them personally, but it does hit your marks. Keep on keepin' on brotha! Feel free to PM me if you ever need to talk or just get stuff off of your mind as well. Wishing you the best; you'll get through this!

Sorry, wish I could recommend my super awesome therapist but I recently found out she will be moving to Oregon at the end of the month. But I can tell you who you I wouldn't recommend: Dr. Charlene Bell. I started seeing her several years ago when I came into a situation like yours and she didn't help much. If anything, she made my anxiety worse by being persistent with her conclusions about my life which were not true at all. I decided to drop her after several sessions.

Boyd Slomoff shares office space with us in the Central Pacific Bank Building on the corner of King and Alakea. We're a law office dealing with a lot of workers compensation issues. A lot of these involve depression, anxiety, and related adjustment disorders and he sees our clients from time to time. I'd highly recommend him. https://www.healthgrades.com/physician/dr-boyd-slomoff-3 x5 gj

I see Dr Thomas Henry, swell guy, really helpful and doesn't jerk you around and mess with your medication like ive had my other psyche do before just to see how i would react even though i was doing fine already. I started seeing a psyche again for the exact same reason as you. Hes Kapolei side.

I see Dr. Conti, his own practice is called East-West Therapy. It's in Waikiki though, on Launiu. He does a lot of depression/anxiety work I think, he was very helpful with mine.

Dr Jeanie Li is right downtown. Ph.D and very emphatic and understanding.

Dr. Michael Bridge, in the building at the top of Bishop (and Beretania)

[Mental Health America of Hawaii](http://mentalhealthhawaii.org/adult/) might be able to refer you to someone.
Who has read this? and would you recommend it as a text to advance a therapist's clinical reasoning skills?
Csm M. replied:
In my opinion, Ms Walton has written an advanced book that presupposes a foundation of critical thinking. I don't think it is an entry level book.
Celia B. replied:
Forgive the shameless plug, but if Tracy's marvelous book is too advanced for your entry level program, this one may suit. Happy to chat with you directly if you'd like. http://www.amazon.com/Conditi.../dp/1582558078/ref=sr_1_1...
