Labels for bottles at daycare Hi moms! Do you have any recommendations for labels to use on bottles to give LO at daycare?
They require a label on the bottle and lid....
rujancified replied:
Blue painters tape.

We bought some from Mabel's Labels. They stick to the bottle and you can write the date with a dry erase marker. They have held up through months of daily washing and a few sanitizing sessions and have not started to peel at all.

Just a heads up, I'm in FL and bought bottle labels to use when we started daycare. Turns out DCF (Dept of Children and Families) here requires their labels be used so daycare supplies them.

We use [inchbug](http://www.inchbug.com/apps/labels?label=orbit-labels) labels for the bottle and freezer tape for the lids.
laifalove replied:
We just used a regular label maker

I used [these](tinyme.com) They hold up in the washer

I ordered ours from Mabel’s Labels and they’re great! Very cute and they last a long time. I put the bottles through the dishwasher daily for months before they started peeling off.
Permapostdoc replied:
Painters tape. I tried to make cute labels with my label maker and they would fall off too frequently.
PleaseSendPants replied:
I write on ziploc bags with a sharpie and stick the capped bottles in them. My provider is a little more laid back.
Becks_786 replied:
Can you just write directly on them with a sharpie? That’s what I did.
Bottle labels? My son starts daycare next week. Any recommendations for bottle labels? I used masking tape for my daughter but they were such a pain. I figured there is...

Orbit labels by inch bug. They’re rubbery labels you can slip on the bottle that have your child’s name printed on them. You can also slip them off to give it a good scrub and/or pass the bottles on down to another baby when you’re done with them. They’re a little pricey, but you should only need a few and they’re awesome!!

I diligently labeled all parts except the nipple for my son’s bottles. Then, they all came off in the wash. I did this a few times until one of the carers mentioned two things: we were the only ones with glass bottles and breast milk smells different than formula so she always could figure it out. It’s not applicable in every situation, I know that, but if you find your labels don’t stick, and sharpie doesn’t stay (it doesn’t do well on glass), ask your carer if there’s another family using the same bottles.

I used dry erase but it comes off. I want it to but idk if you moms do.

I wrote his name in sharpie and covered it with scotch tape so it didn't wash off every time. Then I just use painters tape for the daily labels.. def not as cute or neat looking as other labels but it does the trick.
piperok27 replied:
Our daycare provided the bottle lables, I would call and ask them before buying any. Sometimes it's by regulations that you have to use their labels unless it's like a home daycare.

We use the [InchBug Labels](https://www.inchbug.com/?s_kwcid=%7C0&gclid=Cj0KCQjw6 cHoBRDdARIsADiTTzYlF-nCDU-4AG5KlTFwuKpmFadIqlgXUtF9 vTcRCwwetv4DaJ6VibwaAjsYEALw_wcB) , they are silicon bands with your chile's name that go around the bottles. We also ordered date stickers from the InchBug website that we swap out daily on the bottles.
HappyRoobee replied:
Mabel's Labels are good and they often have sales.

There are lots of options on Etsy. I ordered from MeYDecals and it was $10 for 40. They stayed on for the whole 1+ year that I needed them but then peeled off relatively easily when I was done.
pooh8402 replied:
I like NameBubbles! I stick them to everything. I use masking tape and a sharpie to label my pumping bottles with date and time, and if I need to add extra info to the daycare bottles (like "use this first" ).
petalgram replied:
Pro tip: write on them with sharpie. You can remove it later with rubbing alcohol.

I used these: Baby Bottle Labels, Self-laminating - Great for Daycare https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0048SOBGO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_4 joeDb44XJFMG Never came off in the wash or bled out, etc.. I also then used a removable sticker to add the date every day.
Pastafarian8 replied:
Mabel’s labels for the name, painters tape and sharpie daily for the date the bottle was made.
cicada_song replied:
I used a combo of Mabel’s labels and (blue) painters tape. The tape sticks to surfaces labels sometimes don’t (miracle 360 cups) and is good for dating bottles and numbering them
MrsZack replied:
I use blue painter's tape. and you said masking tape is kind of a pain, but the painters tape seems to stay on for just the right amount of time while leaving absolutely no residue. I use my Brother Label Maker to put his name on the bottles (most have lasted 8 months now) but then every day I use the painters tape to mark the date and breast milk or formula.
jefedawg replied:
I use Woozems. It is basically a sticker label with a sticky transparent window that you peel away and seal after you write on it. Lasts through months of washes, doesnt bleed, etc. Love them. Our daycare center has label stickers for parents to fill out and put on bottles. There are fill-in-the-blanks for child’s name, date, amount/volume of milk or formula. The labels need to be held in with rubber bands since they don’t stick well when cold, and most bottles don’t have a big flat spot anyway. If all you need on your bottles is your baby’s name, I’d say just write directly in the bottle with a sharpie.
Jet3587 replied:
I use NameBubbles— both for bottles and for spare outfits.
laifalove replied:
I use a label maker. You can also purchase tape that they use for labs to label glassware. The tape is waterproof and doesn’t smudge as long as the sharpie has a chance to dry. Holds up pretty well too. I use this tape for labeling my frozen milk.

We wrote his name on the bottom with industrial sharpie.
