Can anyone recommend a local riding school that caters well for experienced (albeit slightly rusty) adult riders? Looking for a few lessons and hacks etc.. I've been...
Ginny A. replied:
I've struggled to find a yard that does both to be honest. After a long time off from riding I booked myself in for private lessons at Tremaines in Horsted Keynes which were really good at helping me regain confidence and when I wanted more I found East View Riding Centre near Chelwood Gate who do amazing hacks around the Ashdown Forest, they have a page on Facebook or their website http://eastviewridingcentre.uk/ The hacks are from an hour and a half upwards for experienced riders and since going I've only ever seen adults ride there! I'll look forward to seeing any other suggestions though!!
Laura N. replied:
Albourne Eq Centre have great facilities and a good range of horses for adult lessons. They don't really do hacking, but as others have said there are plenty of other places that just do hacks.
Sarah M. replied:
Hamsey Riding School...spent years there with my girls lessons and fantastic hacking on downs...Ray and Sue Goldstein lovely people and lovely horses x

I'd highly recommend Sally Ann at ghyll park. Lovely school and highly qualified instruction. Sadly a bit far out for me in Hastings but Sally taught my daughter brilliantly and even got me to try a canter again (very nervous rider!)
Sarah T. replied:
Alex Gache at Lomond riding centre is fantastic for getting your confidence back and you get to ride lovely horses as well x
Caroline G. replied:
Another vote for Alex Gache at Lomond. Brilliant sympathic instructor and wonderful horses
Emily B. replied:
Morgan Shirley at meadows equestrian just outside of Hailsham. They do both hacking and lessons and everyone there is really friendly, a great laugh!

Would recommend Equine Agents. I had a horse on trial from them, it didn't work out in the end and I sent her back but Avril was very helpful and honest, I would happily have bought another from her but I found my horse elsewhere in the meantime
