Here is a current list of PLI providers AMPdj --- The Association of Mobile and Party DJ's (a company) £10 m Public Liability and £10 m Product Liability Insurance underwritten by Royal & Sun Alliance you get membership of an association, client enquiries and other benefits like a free listing on client enquiry websites, discounted equipment, free web hosting and local meet ups and networking opportunities all for £49.00 per year. MDJN --- Mobile DJ Network (a company) £10 m Public Liability & £10 m Employers Liability insurance Immediate on line documentation as well as free web hosting, free email address, free web DJ listing with online PLI document, very active facebook group (HERE!) for quick response to questions relating to PLI and other DJ related items Free Monthly Newsletter with articles and discounts for just £29.99 per year. NADJ --- National Association of Disc Jockeys (genuine association) Includes £10 m Public Liability, £10 m Employer Liability & £10 m Product Liability Insurance lots of membership benefits including free website hosting, discounts at quality retailers, free Pro Mobile Magazine subscription, DJ listings, quality local chapter meet ups and excellent networking for just £75.00 per year. SEDA --- South Eastern Discotheque Association (Genuine association) £10 m Public Liability, £10 m Employer Liability & £10 m Product Liability Insurance, Pro Mobile magazine subscription, DJ listings, bi-monthly newsletter SEDA also has discounts through SEDABenefits, also training days with SEDABuzz, Online SEDA Facebook Page and hidden group for SEDA Members.and legendary Show Nights all this for £76.00 per year. PLI is also available through these companies too like DJ Guard and E&L Insurance. They also offer covering your DJ equipment against theft and loss. The Musicians Union also offer a policy too. note most of these are not equipment insurance .. Amp Nadj seda and MDJN all have the offer that as members if you contact hencilla they will do a discounted equipment insurance quote too. I personally dont care which one a person goes for (my personal preference is obviously MDJN) but as long as they get cover to avoid any problems and to get work in venues that wont without it.

Can anyone recommend an equine insurance company please? Tried Pet Plan, estimation was £65 per month - is this about normal?
Sussex C. replied:
Petplan, Nfu and knis seem to be the best ones, Nfu mildly more expensive but do pay out quick... In saying this I have a couple of mine insured with e and l ( didn't realise as they also trade under horse insurance.co.uk ) and they payed out almost £5000 for my Arab and about £3500 for my tb x with no problems at all so I can't say anything bad really ... I use: http://www.eandl.co.uk/ but just for riders' insurance. They insure horses too, though....

Pet Plan Diana was fantastic when. Betty was ill last January. Paid the vets directly and did all the paperwork. My claim was for £2 k and I won't know how much the premium will increase when renewal is due in October but currently £43 per month for BOTH of my dogs collectively x
Sue N. replied:
I have used More Than for Delphi. She had to have a huge op when 10 months and they paid out promptly. However, the premiums have risen astronomically even though we have made no further claims. I am now really seriously looking round for a better deal. My vet's said that if your dog has had a particular 'condition' or problem, and there is little chance of a recurrence or of a problem related to this, happening ( ask your vet ), then change your insurer as often a you feel expedient, to save money. Some insurances are for the life of the dog and you are rather tied in....some are yearly and so you are able to do that. Some will insure more than one dog on the same policy, others are separate. It really does depend on your situation. Good luck finding a good reliable and not too greedy insurer. I am finding it quite difficult and have spent hours trawling through the small print. ;)

I have just taken out a policy for Macy with Agria Pet Insurance. No mention of leishmaniasis in their exclusions! Avoid Animal Friends!
Althea B. replied:
Direct Line. 4 years ago my dog was badly injured with some barbed wire that was hidden in long grass, he had to have stitches in both his front legs & chin, he had repeated visits to the vets running up a bill of over £300. Direct Line payed up immediately without any fuss.
Sarah S. replied:
I've been with Tesco for years and they have always been very good at paying up (had 3 large claims over the years). Animal Friends are meant to be excellent though and support various animal charities, I would go with them in future.
Amanda A. replied:
We're with John Lewis - chose them for a few reasons. Value, customer service and they came out really well on the Which survey. They have been excellent when we has to make a claim and when we were late (whoops) renewing.
Fiona L. replied:
MoreThan are expensive, but good. Their levels of cover are much higher than many other insurers - £12 k per year for the premium cover; £4 k or £8 k of cover per condition for the classic. http://www.morethan.com/pages/products/pet/whatwecover.aspx
