Dr. WEED at Central Arkansas Pediatric Clinic os really good im changing my daughter over to her
Misty D. replied:
They are located in bryant? I live in malvern and usually takes me around 15 minutes to get there. I love thier doctor I would recommend him to anyone. They do the growth chart thing where they compare your child's growth and development to see if they are behind or on average. They are even open until noon on Saturdays. The number is 501-847-2500. I was new to being a mom and luckly the doctor that was there when my oldest was born was him.
Alicia D. replied:
Dr. Weed is a male ... But all the pediatric doctors at CAPC are great! My kids generally see Dr. Fox or Dr. Repp

Hello everyone. Not sure if I can post this here but needed some other parent advice. I need a pediatrician in hot springs who doesn't push and lecture about vaccines....
Jennifer R. replied:
DR. Robert....He's in DR. Hale's office. He will encourage the childs immunizations but will NOT push you, I was late on all my children's vaccines. I feel 2, 4 & 6 months is to young for shots. 15 months is MMR & waited over a year on that one due to the mercury & can cause autism according to research studies. However, I can tell you from my experience of being a nurse. We had a couple who elected not to get their children vaccinated & home schooled. ( Which immunizations are not required for public schools according to law, but they will enforce it & not enroll your child) Anyways, these these kids grew up & decided to start college.. They had to get ALL their shots.. Immunizations is a must for all colleges, at least they were 4 years ago when this happened.
Stephanie M. replied:
Dr. Robert no longer works for mercy he now has his own practice his office is now off airport rd
Heidi G. replied:
Dr greg whorton. He is the best. 501-767-6200
Laurel D. replied:
I use Dr. Floyd at the Childrens Clinic. She is wonderful. I WILL NOT vaccinate my kids and she has never tried to push it on me. I say no she says OK. Period.
Deborah W. replied:
I always had the shots because I believe in them one saved a child of mine years ago. I lost the other because he didn't have it. Dr Hughes listens and does his research on every new vaccine that comes out. Talk to him. He seems stern when u first meet him but he's not. He remembers my kids name after 24 years when we r n walmart. He saved three of my other children and wouldn't give him up unless he quits. He is my Grandaughter Dr. And will be my new Grandsons in a month.
Tracy G. replied:
Dr Tracy Rowe
Lindsay M. replied:
Dr Slay is NOT a good one for anti-vacine.
Amanda P. replied:
My daughter sees Dr Togami, there are certain vaccines that I refuse that most doctors and people pressure you to have, she is very helpful and understanding. My daughter has seen her since birth (she's now almost 3.5) i would highly suggest her to anyone.
Deborah W. replied:
I use Dr. James Hughes. Have for 24 years. No one better.
Quentavia R. replied:

Dr Charles Reeves jr. Mercy pediatric on McCauley cr
Sarah B. replied:
I've seen him before; we see Dr. Nichols usually. Is he pro breastfeeding and cool with no vaxing?
Renee M. replied:
I apologise ahead of time for posting this comment as I realise that it was not asked for. If you choose not to vaccinate your children, I hope you would do two things, first: a) read the book "Bad Science" by Ben Goldachre and b) use googlescholar.com (no, not google) and look for actual CITED research papers that have been published in the last 4 years on the effects of vaccinating children
Nicole O. replied:
I use Dr. Slay and i really like him. He is pro breastfeeding, not sure bout the vax thing tho.

Mae M. replied:
Dr. Hughes is great for the run of the mill stuff like colds, ear infections, etc. Anything serious, there's no pediatrician here, and that's when we head to Children's.
Rickyand S. replied:
Dr. Robber at hamilton west has been mine and Emma's since she was born. Emma's loves him being her doctor.
Deff Dr Whorton he's amazing I wouldn't say anyone else after the way he treated my bri bri with everything she had been through and how he is doing just as good with Bryce!!!!!
Whitney N. replied:
Dr. Whorton is amazing, but it can be very hard to get in to see him. Everyone in that office is great though (Mindy Erickson, Marni Keck, Dr. Slay), so if you had to see someone else, that's the place to be!
Hollie S. replied:

Been a long time since needing a pedi, but have heard lots of good things about Dr. Robert, and only one negative... he has limited office hours (semi-retired, maybe?) but I am sure he has back-up for those days

Cassie S. replied:
Dr Robert
Whitney H. replied:
I will 3 rd Dr. Robert at Hamilton West.
Jenn V. replied:
Dr. Hughes 70 West Clinic
Stephanie R. replied:
Dr. Whorton is good but his nurse Linda has no bedside manner which is important since she'll be the one giving vaccinations and answering your phone calls/questions.
Stephanie R. replied:
Good point. One of the things we hated about Dr. Whorton was you couldn't just call and make an appt. you had to wait for Linda to call you back which sometimes took a few days. If your kid is sick, you don't want to have to wait!
Okay moms...recommendations for pediatricians...we did not have a good experience with our follow up appointment after delivery with the on call pediatrician. Ready,...
Bridget H. replied:
Dr Robert!
Michelle T. replied:
Absolutely, under no circumstance, allow Dr. Cenac to see your child. When you have a major problem he has a tendency to tell you that you're over reacting and that's not just from my experience...he's mishandled a few cases for my friends.
Shala P. replied:
Slay is full! Dr Reeves is awesome.
Courtney E. replied:
We love Dr. Reeves, Dr. Floyd is also nice and she's in the same clinic.
Kasha G. replied:
We have Dr. Floyd.
Tonja B. replied:

Mollie C. replied:
Dr. James Hughes has been great with luca!
Alicia B. replied:
Dr Roberts, hands down!
Katherine P. replied:
Dr Hughes (Flo's son in law). He's awesome!!!
Summer B. replied:
I'm not gonna play EVERYONE has their own personal opinions but really it's who your comfortable with. And as a new parent or not so new parent you will deep down just be able to feel it. It's hard to explain. Personally I love Dr. Reeves. My opinion. He found my daughter's heart condition. He went beyond measures to get what he could do for Olina. Just think like this if your child was in serious danger who would you trust with their lives? You can change doctors any time. Don't forget that part
Danny B. replied:
Dr Irwin 270 west clinic is who we use or dr. Hughes they have been real good to Ava and us
I am considering looking for a new pediatrician, any suggestions? who do your kids see? do you like him or her, and why?

Stephanie R. replied:
David Slay! Great MD and super nice guy. I went to school with Heather his wife
Joni O. replied:
I don't think you will get in with Whorton. His practice is usually closed bc he is so full. Dr. Slay is just as good he is pediatric and internal med. So I would definitely consider him. He has a lot of knowledge.
