1-800-621-3362 This is the FEMA hotline number. Ask them for a list of approved hotels and they should be able to provide that for you. If there is a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) near you go there and they can assist you. To locate one use the the hotline # or You can also text 43362 (4FEMA) and type DRC and then your zip code and it should populate. You can do the same with typing the word shelter. There also may be disaster food stamps rolling out for people who have registered for fema assistance, ask about those as well.

I have been trying to help some families who aren't able to stay at the hotel they have been at for the past few days. They are charging them $500 weekly and not offering financial support to Harvey survivors. I did find many people on airbnb.com who have offered their homes for free to those in need. Do an address search and see if one is close to those you are helping. That is what I am doing, one family at a time. :) https://www.airbnb.com/s/Northeast-Houston--Houston--TX--United-States/homes?collection_id=232188773&adults=2&guests=6&children=4&allow_override%5B%5D=&s_tag=YVBK-hJM
