First Baptist in Humble on 1960 or Second Baptist in Kingwood. Both are great & have 1/2 day programs.

I was going to mention Humble Area First Baptist too. My 2 nd daughter will be starting there Monday along with her cousin. We love their children's programs there and it's reasonably priced too.

Atascocita United Methodist Weekday Learning Center is the BEST in the area! Of course I'm biased because I work there but look at all the recommendations above. Both of my kids (now age 14 and 18) went here. Come check it out!

My 3 year old currently attends a free Parent Morning Out Co-op in North Carolina. It's completely parent run and a church let's us use their Sunday School classrooms/playground/gym for free. I am also currently homeschooling him for preschool. We are part of a free homeschooling co-op too. I would love to find similar programs for when we move to Houston. Does anyone know of any? Thanks!!!

Beehivecoop.org it's a parent co-op, classes are 3 hrs/day x4 days a week, starting at age 2 years 8 months. Parents work a shift once every two weeks as a teacher. It is a small, cozy community dedicated to the idea of "learn through play." No worksheets here!
We are looking for the following info if anyone can help with recommendations:
1. Preschool
2. Swim team
3. Gymnastics
4. Dance

Not sure of the age of your child..but... My experiences have been with Dad's Club for swim. My son has been in lessons there for years. They also have a great swim team program. Discover Gymnastics on Shepherd. They also have some dance classes there.
Doug M. replied:
We did (and still do) a summer league with a local team NWAL Blue Marlins since 2009 when our kids were 5 and 7. Again...this is only a summer league which just ended this past weekend. We have been at Dad's Club for 2 years, which is a year-round swim team. I don't know of anyone that has a "swim team" for 4 year olds. I think some of the posts above are getting swim lessons confused with swim teams. I highly recommend both swim teams
Doug M. replied:
Houston Swim Club does have a swim team but they are better known for their swim lessons for young kids (which we also did when our kids were 2 and 4). I highly recommend Houston Swim Club for lessons. Assuming you live in the area I don't think HSC is a good idea for swim team since it is such a long drive for a swim team (day after day after day). HSC is very good for swim lessons and worth the drive for the short period where they would be getting lessons.
There is one on thirteenth street across from San jac and it's called Mother's Day out or there is Montessori schools there is one on space center and fairmont behind the medic center called Starr Montessori
