There is one over by Wawa - don't know how good it is... alternately, Lobster House in Freehold (by Top Tomato) is good..

Looking for a restaurant suggestion in Marlboro.... What's your favorite dish there?
Barbara S. replied:
Very good small Chinese restauant in Willow Point called Empire Szechuan. They also have Sushi. I've been thru most of the other Chinese restaurants...I can always tell when they've changed chefs This place is always good. We usually get take-out but we've eaten there a few times. Fireside is good. The mgr used to be one of the partners at the diner on Rt. 9/Throckmorton before it was All Seasons. Pizza leaves alot to be desired in Marlboro. We go to Frankie Feds in Freehold for thin crust, but all their food is good.

For Italian, try the new Cucina Nouveau in Diamond Plaza on Route 9. It's BYOB, and you can get great wine at the Wine Academy next door. Best Chinese food in our area is Peking Pavillion on Rt 33 in Manalapan. I agree with Mike Chasin, Fireside is great for casual, and Little Saigon is good for Vietnamese.

@The last time I ate at Crown Palace, many years ago, friends of mine dragged me there. YUCK! Food was awful. It was good when it first opened up many many years ago. The one by the P.O. used to be Hot Wok which was great but then the owner went back to China and it wasn't good. Not sure if we've tried it since it changed the name or not. Years ago we'd go to the Chinese Restaurant in the plaza on Rt. 79/520 by the Hudson City Bank. (CVS used to be there years ago). His food is a little different, but it was good. Fireside, the food is edible. I'll go there only if I have nothing better. Peking Pavillion was good many years ago before the fire. I've heard mixed reviews about it since it reopened. Across from P.P. is Gus's diner...people come from all over to go there. The food is very good! It's always crowded too.
So has anyone eaten at or had a party at The Lighthouse restaurant in Jackson? Looking to have baptism luncheon there and was wondering how it is....tyia
