Dr Mahkan in Baytown is awesome 281 425-3932 I don't bout insurance deal but I know she is awesome I used dr chhay n didn't like his bedside manner so to speak. But dr Mahkan listens n works with u. My A1C was 12.0 in Jan and with her help n meds it's down to 5.0.

I've used My Family Vet in Spring on Kuykendahl Rd previously and absolutely loved Dr. Scott and crew. I think they perform routine surgeries but any emergencies they send to the nearby VCA. Had a cat that was hours from death with a urinary obstruction that they nursed back to health for much less than I was expecting so their prices are fairly reasonable. They do not have a night staff for overnight monitoring though. I moved to East Downtown so I don't drive up there anymore, but I miss using them as my primary vet.
