Are there any travel agencies anymore? Want to plan a vacation, but don't have the time and quite frankly too lazy to invest time in searching/comparing websites. ...

Not an agency, but we had a great experience renting a condo on Maui via homeaway.com. It was super easy

I have a personal travel agent. Heidi Nanigian she is great can be very helpful
Patrick M. replied:
American Express too. But using an aggregator like Kayak isn't that time consuming. I used to have a great travel agent back in the days when airlines provided customer service past basic transportation and also were willing to pay commissions. Anyone still surviving I'm this space kudos to you.

I have used cruise.com and lastminutecruise.com. A few years ago we took a one week Caribbean cruise, $100 room credit and bottle of wine for $250. We had two weeks notice but it was amazing.

Just got back from staying at The Westin Maui Resort in Kanapali. Best hotel I've ever been to hands down. We used American Express's travel service. We worked with a very nice agent who helped us plan every single thing. If your an AmEx customer I highly recommend it. The use of their agent only costs $25.00 on top of your trip costs.

I don't have a travel agent...and I never have used one. We always booked everything with Napili Shores in Maui. We loved that place!! Look it up it is so wonderful...a dream come true and not as expensive as other places (unless things have changed)... Have a great time!!
Rick M. replied:
Where in Hawaii? Been there many times now. Don't really need a travel agent. I would check out AIRBNB and rent a whole house. Then you aren't always eating out. Rent a car. Airline tickets - many ways to do it. Hawaiian Airlines has a credit card, gives you free miles after so much spent. Like 3 k in first 3 months. Typically these points are enough for a free 1 way ticket for one person.
Anyone here recommend a travel agent.. We are interested in taking a Viking Cruise on on the Rhine.. Amsterdam to either Switzerland or Budapest? Maybe a two week...
