FYI -- It's against EPA regulations and federal law to use moth ball is any way other than what's on the label. Using moth balls as a pesticide is against label directions. http://www.angieslist.com/articles/mothballs-dangerous-deterrent-remove-chipmunks-squirrels.htm

Don't waste your money, Kendy! Mostly they are harmless, but you want to plug the wood. Neither putty nor caulk will stop them. Just do a google search about stopping/preventing them, and you'll get a lot of answers. I'll post this one because it's of the nontoxic bent, and that's my preference. http://www.beyondpesticides.org/...

Though I commend Patrick's evidently successful DIY pest control, I had a few horrible experiences with fleas where nothing took care of them except a few visits from an exterminator. This was obviously in a rental so I didn't pay for it but make sure you know how many times they are agreeing to come (or until the pests are gone) for what you're paying. Katie Briski can attest, I was miserable with flea bites. Surprised I didn't ever get sick from it.
