If you see a GP and get a referral for a Mental Health Plan, may I suggest Fawn Westerhuis in Innisfail, is a great counselor to help you work on some strategies to overcome your anxiety issues.

Tully Medical Centre - Dr Barney Gordon-Hall is understanding and patient. They don't bulk bill but is around $70 and you get $37 back I think. I have seen the other Dr's there too, and they are all pretty good and have taken me seriously through my complicated series of illnesses including depression and anxiety and finding medication that worked for me.

I would most definitely recommend dr coppin at Innisfail family medical, as my mother Di above mentioned i am a completely different person compared to what i was 12 months ago, he is a brilliant doctor and gone out of his way to help me with my mental health issues, my bipolar, Ptsd and anxiety symptoms have all dramatically decreased.

Just for future reference if anyone wanted to know - There is now a 24 hour EMERGENCY VET CLINIC in Cairns if you can make the one hour trip . They have all the modern equipment and are manned continually for emergencies only .
