Garry Draper is excellent. He's in Greece at the moment doing training courses but can PM contact details if you like:)
Rachel P. replied:
I use Andy Watson too and he's fab, very quiet and won't force them if it's getting too stressful. He was £35 a horse when I was last done 5 months a go:).

Gemma H. replied:
http://www.equine-dentist-scotland.co.uk/costs-and-areas-covered/ He is fab and really good and soft with ponies who have never had their teeth done etc.
Janice B. replied:
I use Mark Twigg too. Whoever you use, make sure (s)he's registered on the BEVA website as that way you know they actually have qualifications recognised in Britain.:)
Denise C. replied:
Garry Draper is not registered with BEVA, neither is Andy Watson. Garry, however used to be RSPCA farrier, when his back gave in he was sent, by the RSPCA, to America to train in Equine Dentistry for 18 months as there was no such course in this country. The BEVA do not recognise US training, for some reason, but will allow him to lecture vet students? On his return RSPCA decided they couldn't afford him but used him on a freelance basis. He does charity work all over the world, including Donkey Sanctuary and welfare education in Gambia where he is accompanied by vets and farriers. At the moment he is in Greece lecturing on the benefits of proper dental care. Unfortunately there are some people who are still advertising themselves in partnership with Garry when the partnership was dissolved a long time ago.

Annabelle W. replied:
we use Mary-Jo Grant, that is area dependant. like farriers you will find one on http://www.baedt.com/ we had a really bad experience with someone who was totally fabulous but is not on the register. Remember if your horse is insured then you should use a registered dentist as a pal found ou when she took her horse to the vet for a cracked tooth and the insurance wouldnt cover as she had been dealt with by a non registered person.
