Can anyone recommend a graphic designer/artist who would be willing to design a company logo for my company? Thank you in advance!
Peter Q. replied:
We used 99 designs.com and were really pleased with the results. We did two things in the process that we felt really helped the quality of the designs. 1. We selected a top tier price package 2. We selected the option where it says that no matter what, one of the designs presented was going to be selected. I think this was key as I am sure a lot of folks just go and get ideas and then never pay. But making it a job where someone is going to get paid we think it brought better talent. And by setting a high "prize" it brought their TOP talent. And even at their higher tiers, their price was less than I have paid for a single designer in the past. By doing both of those things we has a very large number of initial ideas and then we went through 3-4 rounds of subsequent refinement with a handful of designers who brought forward several designs we really liked. I was a bit apprehensive at first, having only done logo work with a single designer at a time before, but seeing the creative ideas of 20+ designers, all at once, it gave us a chance to see some great concepts that came from very different approaches. Once we made our decision the winning design was tweaked to exactly what we wanted. And then we worked out a deal with the designer to have things like letterhead and other small items made while he was doing the initial logo work. All told I think it took us like about a week to go from our general big idea to a logo we love. Worth a look...

Andy, go to designcrowd.com. You get to post a bid (about $99) and you will get 30-50 designers submit logos to you. You can then have them edit them the way you want and choose a winner. They did my logo at jb3 financial.com. I was really impressed.
